You are one of the many creatures suddenly waking up in this world. Your kind lived and prospered here for generations long ago but have long since vanished- leaving behind ruins of old that have been picked nearly clean by the hominids that now call the lands their home. The hominids knew your kind would return.
It is unknown for how long you've slept. The last thing you remember was your home, whatever it was, suddenly disappearing. All your loved ones, your friends, your foes, your family, have been gone for centuries. You remember them vaguely, but it is as if your blocked from seeing them.
It is now your job to rebuild and return to your life as it was before to the best of your ability. Others like you have awoken recently or some years ago, looking for companionship in this unusually empty world they are now part of. You may find clues along the way to what happened to your people but you know in your heart you will never see them again.
