About this project

What does Customizable Fleeing add?

Overview

Did you know that animals generally don't stop fleeing from you until you have bred them to generation 10? I certainly didn't but as soon as I found out I felt like that needed to change so here we are! This changes the default generation from 10 down to a much more player friendly value of 3.

Config

Don't like the value I chose? Don't worry! The mod comes with ConfigKit and IMM integration so you can easily change the value to anything you want. You could even change it to 0 if you just dislike animals fleeing from you or something, though I haven't tested that.

Read before installing!

If you have any entities in your world prior to installing this mod they might not update properly to the new value. To get around this you will have to breed them to the next generation. Afaik the value gets baked into the entity as soon as they spawn in and I'd rather avoid regularly checking existing entities to update them as performance would suffer quite a bit.

This is my first mod for this game! I am changing a protected variable here that is not documented very well so there might be some unintended side effects that I don't know about. If you see anything off in the behaviour of entities with this mod, please report it here! It should only affect entities that can have a generation greater than 0 so keep that in mind for your report.

Credits

ChickenSit Reloaded mod - Without this mod I wouldn't have been made aware of the generation variable. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a while and has a number of issues which have not been fixed yet so I have decided to write something from scratch.

Atlas mod - Helped me efficiently test that my changes actually do what I want. Must have for any mod dev!
