About this project
What does [Beta] DodgeThis — power up enemy melee attacks add?
This mod makes several tweaks to make combat more challenging.
Faster, Randomized Attack Timings
Ever noticed that drifters take over half a second to hit you once they raise their arm? With a little practice, you can time your movements to avoid their attacks almost every time. This change randomizes the timing on all enemy attacks to be between normal speed and 2.5x faster.
Longer Range Melee Follow-through
In vanilla, enemies will happily start an attack when they are almost out of range. If you are moving away from them, it's unlikely they will be able to hit you at all. This change adds a 25% range bonus to attacks, once the attack has been started.
Enemies Can Swim
When you swim, you get a momentary boost of speed every 2 seconds. This change gives the same boost to enemies, which makes them substantially faster (and more unpredictable) in the water.
Work In Progress
This mod needs testing in the field! And feedback, please!
