Quick answer

Which Fishy Bucket release should I use?

Updated last month
Latest stable file 1.0.2
Game version 1.22.0, 1.22.1, 1.22.2
Loader Built-in Vintage Story mod system

Fishy Bucket 1.0.2 targets 1.22.0, 1.22.1, 1.22.2. It must be installed on the client. Installation on the dedicated server is optional. No extra mods listed for this file.

Where it goes

Is Fishy Bucket required on the client, server, or both?

It must be installed on the client. Installation on the dedicated server is optional.

Client Required
Dedicated server Optional
Loader for this release Built-in Vintage Story mod system
Required install it here Optional supported, not mandatory Not supported do not install here Source doesn’t say do not assume

This release supports both sides, but the source does not require it on the server.

What else does Fishy Bucket 1.0.2 need?

1.0.2. Change the file and its required mods may change too.

No extra mods listed for this file

This file does not list any required mods. Do not add a library just because a different file uses it.

We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

Before you install it

Add Fishy Bucket without breaking your instance.

Want a well-stocked pond ?
Or... an aquarium...?

Try Fishy Bucket ;)

Right-clic on a fish with an empty bucket in hand, and there you have it!

Simplest way to release a fish:
- Take a fish out of a bucket placed on the ground (you can also put live fish from inventory into a bucket of water on the ground) with the commands run key+right click. (same for both actions)
- Release live fish in water from your inventory (right click).
Live fish will die if kept in inventory for more than 5 hours.

You can release a fish by emptying the bucket it's in using the same command you use to empty a bucket of water, BUT you have to do it on a block (no chiseled block with water in it) of still water (not on moving water: it will empty the bucket but kill the fish!).

⚠️ Fish from oceans need salty water, and fish from lakes need fresh water ⚠️

Compatibility with Catch and Release: Fish: if both mods are active, time until death for fish in inventory will depend on Catch and Release's configuration, not on Fishy Bucket.
