Start with a familiar Minecraft survival experience, then push your progression into advanced machinery, interdimensional travel, rare materials, and Stargate-inspired endgame technology.

The pack is built around long-term progression. Quality-of-life improvements make the early game smoother, while custom quests, recipe changes, world-generation tweaks, and cross-mod balancing guide you toward high-tech automation and exploration beyond the Overworld.

Stargate-inspired progression

Universum focuses mainly on technology, automation, machines, power systems, advanced crafting chains, and industrial progression.

Instead of rushing directly into the endgame, you gradually build your technological base and unlock more powerful tools, resources, and systems over time.

Custom quests and guided progression

Custom quests help guide you through the pack, explain important progression steps, and give structure to your journey. They are designed to make the experience clearer without removing the feeling of discovery.

Some important materials are intentionally tied to specific dimensions, encouraging exploration instead of keeping all progression inside the Overworld.

The goal is to connect multiple mods into one coherent experience instead of having many separate systems that do not interact with each other.

Custom Stargate materials

Universum introduces Stargate-inspired materials such as Trinium and Naquadria, used in advanced crafting and endgame progression.

These materials are not just decorative. They are part of the pack’s progression and are required for important late-game technology.

Important changes

• AE2 channels are rebalanced

  • Small cables are no longer limited to 8 channels.
  • Dense cables are no longer limited to 32 channels.

• Overworld generation is adjusted

  • Some world-generation entries and structures are changed or removed.
  • The goal is to keep the Overworld closer to a vanilla-style survival experience.

• Progression resources are moved into specific dimensions

  • Certain advanced materials require exploration beyond the Overworld.

• Custom quests and recipes are included

Custom SGC Materials

Trinium

Trinium is an exceptionally lightweight and strong metal inspired by the Stargate universe.

In Universum, Trinium can be found deep in the Niflheim dimension. It can be processed and refined into Trinium Alloy, which is required for advanced Stargate-related crafting.

Trinium Alloy is used in important late-game components, including Stargate technology such as the Trinium Iris.

Naquadria

Naquadria is an unstable high-energy isotope of Naquadah.

Unlike Naquadah, Naquadria appears as a solid ore, but it must be processed into liquid form before it can be used in advanced technology.

Naquadria can be found in the Oannes dimension and is required for late-game progression involving Modern Industrialization and SGJourney.
