Quick answer

Which The Backrooms Project Delta release should I use?

Updated 2 months ago
Latest stable file The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0
Game version 1.21.1
Loader Fabric 0.18.4

The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0 is a complete pack release for 1.21.1 with Fabric 0.18.4. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 133 mods in this pack file.

Pack setup

How should I set up The Backrooms Project Delta for players and a server?

Use The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.

Client instance Install The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0
Dedicated server setup Match The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0
Pack loader Fabric 0.18.4

A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.

Referenced mods 133
Client only 16
Server only 0
Not labelled 117

These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.

What are the server requirements for The Backrooms Project Delta?

The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.

133 mods in this pack file

The selected pack release is The Backrooms-Project Delta-v4.0. That file is for Minecraft 1.21.1 with Fabric 0.18.4. It contains 133 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.

About this project

What kind of pack is The Backrooms Project Delta?

NOTES: This map is ONLY for 1.21.1 and can ONLY be played in the modpack! Also, this map is ONLY for singleplayer! Sorry for that, there will be lots of bugs if played in multiplayer.

Also a TON of you think this map is hard. The truth? IT IS. I wanted to make it hard for you guys. But heres a tip: Be patient! Don't rage at level one please! I hopfully will make a wiki or guide video in the future.

Known bugs: If you have missing textures in your game, try leaving and rejoining the map. If they are still there, stop the instance and restart it. If you spot any more bugs, please comment them in the comments section of this PMC page, or on my YouTube. Also, feel free to suggest ideas, updates, and more! Thanks!

About the map:

This map was supposed to be the biggest Backrooms map ever. But that didn't happen. It's still big though! This map also is in a modpack. Why? Well, I wanted to add mods. And I added to much that I had to make it a modpack. The mods mostly are furniture and block mods. No entitles or stuff like that. You will play as a scientist named James Rider. James wanted to figure out why people were disappearing all the time. One moment they're walking down the street, the next they're gone. Those people where never found, so you wanted to find them. You named the project "Project: Delta." Then one day, at home while you were working on some documents, you tripped and noclipped into The Backrooms. A place you only heard about when you were a kid, now you learn its real — it was all real. Recommended PC specs: This map was TESTED on a low-end PC (well in my opinion its low-end) with a GTX 1050 ti, Intel Core i7 6700, 16Gb DDR4. You should have something near those specs. You may experience lag spikes sometimes, but maybe just tweak your settings., The packs RAM is set to 8GB, if you have less (like 4GB) you can try to lower it, this map was sadly not tested using 4GB YET. I will get on that soon.

Map Features:

This map has a ton of features! Some of them are epic, some you may never find. Let's list some of them!

  • Explore over 40 levels all with unique mechanics and builds

  • Fight (and find) unique entities like Skinstealers, Hounds, Smilers, and more all made using commands!

  • Trade with villagers renamed as Wanderers.

  • Find fun NPCs around some levels you can talk to, and some you can trade with!

  • Custom items

  • Achievements

  • Ambiences in almost every level

  • custom, original levels

And tons more YOU will have to discover!
