Official ClayGrounds
An all-in-one ClayGrounds RPG experience combining the ClayGrounds datapack, resource pack, and DAI Engine for custom classes, combat, enemies, progression, world systems, and visuals.
Quick answer
Which Official ClayGrounds release should I use?
ClayGrounds-1.4.zip is a complete pack release for 26.2 with NeoForge 26.2.0.59. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 1 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Official ClayGrounds for players and a server?
Use ClayGrounds-1.4.zip as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Official ClayGrounds?
ClayGrounds-1.4.zip. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is ClayGrounds-1.4.zip. That file is for Minecraft 26.2 with NeoForge 26.2.0.59. It contains 1 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Official ClayGrounds?
Official ClayGrounds
Official ClayGrounds is the complete ready-to-play distribution of ClayGrounds, a colorful island RPG built with the DAI Engine.
Explore an authored ocean archipelago, develop your character, choose a profession, learn class-specific abilities, fight custom creatures, unlock new islands, meet the residents of Solmere, uncover the story of the ClayGrounds, and eventually challenge the guardian waiting beneath the waves.
This official package combines everything required for the intended experience:
- DAI Engine
- ClayGrounds Data Pack
- ClayGrounds Resource Pack
Built for Minecraft 26.2 with NeoForge, it includes both the complete RPG systems and ClayGrounds' custom visual and audio presentation in one installation.
Welcome to ClayGrounds
Your adventure begins in Solmere, the central settlement of an isolated ocean archipelago.
From there, the world gradually opens into five major destinations:
- Solmere
- Sunwash Strand
- Verdant Steps
- Claycrest Ruins
- Sunken Grotto
These are not locations hidden inside an ordinary Minecraft seed.
ClayGrounds uses its own dedicated ocean world, with the islands, settlements, ruins, docks, routes, landmarks, encounters, and progression spaces authored specifically for the experience.
As your character becomes stronger, new routes through the archipelago become available.
Begin as an Adventurer
Every new ClayGrounds character starts as an Adventurer with a simple but complete combat kit:
- Driftwood Blade
- Quick Step
- Rising Arc
- Clayburst
- Tide Tonic
- Solmere Waystone
Movement and combat remain completely under your control.
You decide when to attack, reposition, use abilities, recover, explore, or retreat.
DAI runs the RPG systems surrounding your adventure without playing the character for you.
Choose Your Profession
Reach Adventurer Level 4 and your character can advance into one of three specialized professions.
Fighter
A durable close-range warrior built around aggressive movement and powerful melee attacks.
Abilities include:
- Rush Guard
- Crescent Cleave
- Groundbreaker
The Fighter wields the heavy Solmere Greatblade.
Ranger
A mobile ranged profession focused on positioning, line attacks, and controlling enemies from a distance.
Abilities include:
- Windstep
- Piercing Line
- Arrow Rain
The Ranger fights with the Tidewood Bow and its own dedicated ranged combat system.
Mystic
An arcane profession centered around magical bursts, mobility, and area damage.
Abilities include:
- Phase Step
- Arc Pulse
- Sunflare
Mystics channel their attacks through the Sunshard Focus.
Persistent Class Progression
ClayGrounds does not force every profession into one shared level.
Your progression for:
- Adventurer
- Fighter
- Ranger
- Mystic
is stored independently.
That means a character can develop multiple professions without deleting the progress earned with another.
After advancing far enough through the adventure and defeating the Shorewarden, your character earns access to profession switching.
Return to your class mentors and change between unlocked professions while keeping the individual levels and EXP you previously earned with each one.
Explore and Unlock the Archipelago
ClayGrounds progression gradually leads outward from Solmere through increasingly dangerous regions:
Sunwash Strand → Verdant Steps → Claycrest Ruins → Sunken Grotto
Each area introduces its own atmosphere, enemies, combat pressure, landmarks, and progression requirements.
Your unlocked regions remain part of your persistent character save.
Travel is also protected by ClayGrounds' safe destination system.
Before moving your character, the experience verifies that the destination is generated, loaded, and provides a safe place to stand rather than simply teleporting you toward unchecked coordinates.
Custom ClayGrounds Creatures
The islands contain their own enemy families, including:
- Clayling
- Sunscorched
- Vinecrawler
- Mossbound
- Canopy Fang
- Claycrest Archer
- Ruins Sentinel
- Kilnbound
These creatures combine real gameplay entities for combat and navigation with dedicated DAI-native visual actors supplied by the ClayGrounds Resource Pack.
They are not simply renamed vanilla monsters.
Each has its own ClayGrounds model, materials, silhouette, and visual identity.
The Shorewarden
At the end of the current regional progression waits the guardian of the Sunken Grotto:
The Shorewarden
Defeating the Shorewarden represents a major milestone for your character and awards:
- 1,000 Gold
- 400 EXP
- Story progression
- The Subclass License
The Subclass License unlocks profession switching and allows your character to begin developing multiple combat paths.
Meet the Residents of Solmere
ClayGrounds includes its own cast of NPCs rather than relying on generic villagers.
Current characters include:
- Mirelle
- Brakka
- Syl
- Orin
- Reed
- Pella
- Tovan
These characters serve different roles throughout the adventure.
Profession mentors guide your class advancement, Harbormaster Reed manages travel, Pella provides general goods support, and Tovan can refit your active profession's equipment without erasing your character progression.
Dialogue and services are integrated directly into the RPG experience.
World Map and Travel
ClayGrounds includes a dedicated World Map for navigating the archipelago.
As destinations become available, the map provides access to:
- Solmere
- Sunwash Strand
- Verdant Steps
- Claycrest Ruins
- Sunken Grotto
The Solmere Waystone also gives your character a dedicated method of returning home.
World Map, ferry, and Waystone travel all work through the same safety-aware destination system.
Clay Market
The archipelago also includes the Clay Market, a character-connected reward interface.
Current claimable content includes:
- Welcome Bundle
- Trail Charm
- Beach Shell
- Supply Parcel
Rewards are granted directly to your active ClayGrounds character rather than being handled through a disconnected menu world.
Persistent Characters
A ClayGrounds save represents an actual RPG character.
Persistent character data includes systems for:
- Active profession
- Individual profession levels
- Individual profession EXP
- Gold
- Story progression
- Island unlocks
- Combat progression
- Subclass access
- Equipment
- Adventure state
The ClayGrounds front end allows you to continue existing characters or begin new adventures through DAI's persistent experience-save system.
A Complete ClayGrounds Interface
Because the official package includes both the Data and Resource packs, ClayGrounds receives its intended interface and presentation from the moment it launches.
The experience includes dedicated navigation for:
- World Selection
- Character management
- Clay Market
- World Map
- Character information
- Options
- Save & Exit
The standard pause experience is replaced by a dedicated ClayGrounds interface accessible through both the normal Escape flow and the configured DAI experience control.
Its illustrated harbor presentation keeps the player inside the visual identity of ClayGrounds instead of dropping back into a generic Minecraft menu.
Custom Visuals
The included ClayGrounds Resource Pack provides the intended appearance for the complete adventure.
Custom assets include:
- ClayGrounds enemy models
- Shorewarden boss model
- Custom NPC models
- Layered entity materials
- Glow materials
- Adventurer equipment
- Fighter equipment
- Ranger equipment
- Mystic equipment
- Skill visuals
- Utility items
- Combat particles
- HUD elements
- Interface artwork
- Loading presentation
- Scene environments
Custom creature visuals use the modern DAI-native entity system rather than the older multipart display-rig approach.
Custom Sound and Music
ClayGrounds also includes its own audio presentation.
The official package provides custom sounds for:
- Combat abilities
- Magical attacks
- Healing
- Explosions
- Progression
- Level advancement
- The Shorewarden encounter
The starting region also features a dedicated Solmere theme, helping the archipelago establish its own atmosphere beyond Minecraft's standard soundtrack.
ClayGrounds HUD
The included Resource Pack adapts several pieces of the Minecraft HUD to the experience.
Custom presentation includes:
- Hotbar
- Hotbar selection
- Crosshair
- Experience bar
- Hearts
- Hunger icons
Combined with ClayGrounds' RPG information and custom screens, the result feels considerably closer to a dedicated adventure game than a normal Minecraft survival world.
A World Built for ClayGrounds
The environment is built around the RPG rather than the RPG being placed inside ordinary terrain.
ClayGrounds creates a dedicated ocean setting for its:
- Islands
- Villages
- Docks
- Beaches
- Forests
- Ruins
- Caves
- Boss areas
- NPCs
- Regional routes
Unrelated vanilla terrain and structures are kept out of the experience so that exploration remains focused on the authored archipelago.
The Official Complete Package
Official ClayGrounds exists for players who want the intended version of the experience without manually finding and matching its individual components.
The modpack contains exactly the core projects needed to play:
DAI Engine + ClayGrounds Data + ClayGrounds Resource
No unrelated gameplay mods are added on top.
Install the official pack, create your character, and enter the archipelago.
Choose your profession. Explore the islands. Meet their people. Master your skills.
Your adventure begins in Solmere.
