Block 7
Zombie survival with custom cities, biomes and connecting roads, physical scavenging, character progression and a blood moon every seventh night.
Quick answer
Which Block 7 release should I use?
Block 7 0.1.0-alpha.2 — Playable Alpha is a complete pack release for 26.1.2 with NeoForge 26.1.2.98. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 28 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Block 7 for players and a server?
Use Block 7 0.1.0-alpha.2 — Playable Alpha as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Block 7?
Block 7 0.1.0-alpha.2 — Playable Alpha. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is Block 7 0.1.0-alpha.2 — Playable Alpha. That file is for Minecraft 26.1.2 with NeoForge 26.1.2.98. It contains 28 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Block 7?
Block 7
Developed by WaltHorizon Studios.
Zombie survival in a connected, ruined world.
Follow the road into a deserted city. Missing-person notices still hang beside the shop signs; cupboards and drawers hold supplies for the next journey. Getting home with what you need is only part of the work. By the seventh night, you need somewhere worth defending.
Your hands change the world
Animated blocks make buildings places you can interact with. Physically open doors, cupboard doors, drawers and lids, then search their compartments through animated, furniture-specific loot interfaces. Pick up loose doors and objects from the ground, carry them and throw them. Move or tip furniture to clear a route or block a doorway.
Before you place furniture, a full-model preview marks valid positions green and blocked positions red; R rotates it by 90 degrees.
Scavenging also means making equipment from what is already there. The included Improvised Weapons system lets you tear legs off chairs and tables and use them as weapons. Rip a lid off a bin and use it as a shield. These are recognizable parts of the furniture you found, with visible repairs and their own quality levels.
Every city has a road out
Block 7 uses its own city, biome and road generators. The road network connects all generated cities, with bridges and tunnels carrying the routes through the landscape. Five regions shape the journey: pine forest, burnt forest, desert, snow and radioactive wasteland.
Explore furnished ruins, capitals and smaller settlements, trade with their inhabitants and take on missions. The world is fully German and English, including its billboards, missing-person notices, shop signs and other messages left around town. Those details belong to the world itself, alongside the translated menus and items.
Prepare for the journey
Food, hydration, water quality, climate, stamina and health all belong in your preparations. Manage medicine and hygiene, and wash blood from your hands before eating. Books, knowledge and a skill tree develop your character over time; equipment quality and modifications let you improve the gear you rely on.
Hunting leaves carcasses to deal with. Field dressing, skinning and the butchering workflow turn animals into meat, hides and other useful materials. Processing equipment, storage and preservation give a workshop its purpose. Blood traces and carcasses also leave something for nearby zombies to investigate.
Choose what you carry
Firearms have their own ammunition, attachments and gunsmith benches. Bows, crossbows, melee weapons and armor offer other ways to equip yourself, while bandages, medicine, rations and drinks fill out the supplies. Improvised weapons remain useful alongside purpose-built equipment, and a fuelled chainsaw is another tool to maintain.
Physical blood droplets leave surface splashes that dry over time and wash away when exposed to rain.
The seventh night
Zombies use sight, sound and smell. A noisy search, a thrown object or a trail of blood can draw attention; daylight does not make the streets safe. Every seventh night brings a blood moon and a horde. Prepare your defenses, use UV protection to help secure a space and leave yourself a route to move when the pressure rises.
Restore power. Travel further.
Generators, electrical equipment and power stations give the city's infrastructure a role. Repair an outage to restore lighting, and keep the power available for working elevators. Sliding doors, cabins and shafts are physical parts of those buildings; when an elevator loses power, forcing a door and using the shaft ladder provide another way through.
Build a bicycle, a motorcycle or a two-seat pickup from parts. Pedal using your character's stamina, or take the powered vehicles on longer supply runs. Away from the cities, abandoned camps, hunting stands, tree houses and other wilderness locations offer more places to investigate.
Wrecks and container yards are part of that scavenging network. World loot and disposable containers can replenish seven in-game days after being searched; your own storage is excluded. Dismantled vehicle wrecks can return through the reset system when their space is clear.

Block 7
Entscheide, was du mitnimmst
