Kingdom Building
An RPG Modpack built around Ancient Warfare
Quick answer
Which Kingdom Building release should I use?
Kingdom-Building-V2.0.1 is a complete pack release for 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1517. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 16 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Kingdom Building for players and a server?
Use Kingdom-Building-V2.0.1 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Kingdom Building?
Kingdom-Building-V2.0.1. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is Kingdom-Building-V2.0.1. That file is for Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1517. It contains 16 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Kingdom Building?
Welcome to Kingdom Building!
Have you ever wanted to play an RP game in Minecraft but felt hindered by the lack of options? Well here comes Kingdom Building to the rescue.
What Kingdom Building does:
Kingdom Building is centered around Ancient Warfare 2 mod. (From the mod site description: Ancient Warfare is a modification for Minecraft that adds a variety of game enhancements; new blocks, new entities, and a template based world-generation structure generator.) This modpack was inspired by Sjin's Youtube series, Rule the World. My goal was to create a more lightweight version of the modpack with the core functionality of his series.
Basic Functionality:
- Adding new blocks
- New recipes
- Begin your Quest to build a kingdom (The quests are part of included mods, not a separate questing module)
- NPC's
- War
- And more
Intended Use:
The pack should work well for both solo play in an single world Minecraft install or placed on a server.
Mods Installed
This is the current list of mods. They will change as changes are made to the pack. Currently Kingdom Building is for version 1.7.10 of Minecraft but will be updated to 1.8 as soon as or if AW2 is updated.
