Quick answer

Which MeatyPack release should I use?

Updated 10 years ago
Latest stable file MeatyPack 1.0
Game version 1.7.10
Loader Forge 10.13.4.1614

MeatyPack 1.0 is a complete pack release for 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1614. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 135 mods in this pack file.

Pack setup

How should I set up MeatyPack for players and a server?

Use MeatyPack 1.0 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.

Client instance Install MeatyPack 1.0
Dedicated server setup Match MeatyPack 1.0
Pack loader Forge 10.13.4.1614

A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.

Referenced mods 135
Client only 6
Server only 0
Not labelled 129

These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.

What are the server requirements for MeatyPack?

MeatyPack 1.0. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.

135 mods in this pack file

The selected pack release is MeatyPack 1.0. That file is for Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1614. It contains 135 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.

About this project

What kind of pack is MeatyPack?

This modpack is the full version of MeatyPack, based upon Meatwagon22's popular Meatycraft series and various modded Minecraft Youtube video series that he has done over the years that we all enjoy. The pack is a continuation of MeatyPack Lite as a foundation and includes most of the mods from the Lite version.

Build machines, automation, processing, power, transport, and storage systems with tech mods like Applied Energistics, Buildcraft, Extra Utilities, and MineFactoryReloaded! Make low-tech and multi-block designs using retro-inspired mods such as Immersive Engineering! Create steampunk designs with Steamcraft and even build a locomotive with Railcraft! Explore and quest with mods that add adventure / RPG elements and mobs such as the Aether2, Twilight Forest, Better Questing, RPG Loot, Loot Bags, Balkon's Weapon Mod, Grimoire of Gaia, Better Dungeons (Chocolate Quest) and a variety of other enhancement mods! Experience the spiritual successor to Dartcraft... FullThrottle Alchemist!! Raise a Chocobo farm with ChocoCraft! Test your mettle with the arcane arts to create amazing items and wield the power of magic with Thaumcraft, Draconic Evolution, Botania, and Reliquary! Craft nearly any weapon or tool you wish using Tinkers Construct! Enchant your armor and tools with Enchanting Plus! Do you like Lucky Blocks? Well, you might like Chance Cubes, search for them when exploring the world! Et Futurum adds some things from newer Minecraft versions back to 1.7.10! There are even a few personal touches I have put into the pack, they are mods that I favor a great deal and are purely for fun. Enjoy!!

*Fastcraft 1.23 is now installed and shipped with the pack, it gives a healthy boost to performance and framerate for any Minecraft modpack. Included is an options file for Optifine, settings are optimized for lower end computers to help them run the pack more efficiently and at a decent framerate, so mid-range / high-end hardware users should modify video settings as they see fit for their level of hardware capabilities. Use ONLY version 1.7.10 HD_U_D4 for Forge 1614 compatibility, download Optifine here - http://optifine.net/downloads

*Recommended memory setting is 4 GB, you should adjust this higher if you wish to use higher resolution texture packs (resource packs), bump this up to 5 or 6 GB maximum in the Curse client Minecraft settings memory slider, but try to use 64x or lower resolution, as high resolution textures will eat up your memory fast. **Make sure you have enough system memory to do this! Minimum total system memory should be 8 GB!!** I highly recommend the official Faithful 32 modded resourcepack for this modpack, it is updated daily and is the official pack, download it here - http://www.f32.me/

*If you are having issues loading the pack, unlock the pack by clicking on the picture, not the play button, here on the modpack page click the "..." button, then click Profile Options, and uncheck Locked. This unlocks the pack so you can make changes. You can disable a mod (and its core mod if it has one) that you do not want or need, since the pack runs very poorly for some users on lower end machines with no dedicated graphics (such as laptops or desktops with no video card). Make sure you are updated and if you have issues with updating, simply open the modpack folder (same as above), then move your saves and journeymap folders to desktop, then delete the pack, download the newest version, replace and overwrite the folders

*Recommended mods that are safe to disable / delete for performance gains or to help lower end machines launch and run the pack better overall, and for other various reasons: (***I highly recommend using a new world save if you make many of these changes!***) http://pastebin.com/j6QFJV0b

  • please report bugs / issues via the issue tracker above (issues tab), via the modpack page comment section down below, or you may send pastebin links of crash logs and / or screenshot links to me here or on Twitter -> @Button_Pusher_

  • if you need help with some of the mods in the pack and need reputable wiki links I have provided a pastebin link with a list of links for you here: http://pastebin.com/hiD6nG8U

  • for a beginner's guide for the modpack with background information on pack concept and design go here: http://pastebin.com/1ExFHgWG

***** NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SERVER FILES FOR THIS VERSION OF THE MODPACK *****

Please do not request a server pack of MeatyPack 1, it will not happen... MeatyPack 2 will be server-friendly and stable, so please use that version for servers. Thank you for your understanding.
