Quick answer

Which Farming Harvest release should I use?

Updated 8 years ago
Latest stable file Farming Harvest-2.3.zip
Game version 1.10.2
Loader Not required

Farming Harvest-2.3.zip is a complete pack release for 1.10.2. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. Could not safely read this pack file.

Pack setup

How should I set up Farming Harvest for players and a server?

Use Farming Harvest-2.3.zip as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.

Client instance Install Farming Harvest-2.3.zip
Dedicated server setup Match Farming Harvest-2.3.zip
Pack loader No loader listed

A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.

What are the server requirements for Farming Harvest?

Farming Harvest-2.3.zip. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.

Could not safely read this pack file

The selected pack release is Farming Harvest-2.3.zip. That file is for Minecraft 1.10.2. We could not safely count the mods in this release. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.

About this project

What kind of pack is Farming Harvest?

This is a modpack inspired by Farming Valley modpack by Kehaan (link: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/farming-valley). Like it's inspiration, this pack is also bringing the experience of farming games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon into your Minecraft world! This modpack is also made for people who are tired of Minecraft mining and want an alternative way to gain the normal resources for the game.

First summon the Harvest Goddess (pic credit: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/harvest-festival):

Then start growing crops to earn money!

You can find a work-in-progress guide to the crops here:

The main differences between this modpack and Farming Valley Modpack are as follows:

  • This modpack has fewer mods and can perform better on weaker systems
  • This modpack also has Pam's Harvest Craft and HarvestCraft Addon. These mods add even more crops for you to grow and sell (even in winter!)
    • You can even sale Pam's HarvestCraft Meals!
  • The tech aspect of the modpack is replaced with Thermo Expansion and Thaumcraft.
  • The extra items sold by NPC's are different in this modpack compared with Farming Valley.
