Nirvana - Better Vanilla
A client-side vanilla SMP focused optimization modpack with QOL addons and GUI tweaks.
Quick answer
Which Nirvana - Better Vanilla release should I use?
Fabric-26.1.2-44.0 is a complete pack release for 26.1.2 with Fabric 0.19.2. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 50 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Nirvana - Better Vanilla for players and a server?
Use Fabric-26.1.2-44.0 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Nirvana - Better Vanilla?
Fabric-26.1.2-44.0. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is Fabric-26.1.2-44.0. That file is for Minecraft 26.1.2 with Fabric 0.19.2. It contains 50 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Nirvana - Better Vanilla?
Nirvana aims to improving the gameplay quality on survival multiplayer servers and survival single player worlds, while not straying too far from normal vanilla gameplay. This modpack is indended for use on unmodded vanilla servers, meaning you can use it to play wherever you like!
Vanilla Minecraft, but better
Nirvana does not add any content to the game, making it compatible with most vanilla SMP servers. Nirvana adds elements only to the client, such as a waypoint and mapping system, an overlay to give you updates on armor status, and a button to automagically sort items in a container.
Performance
Nirvana contains performance enhancing mods (Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore and many others!) that give it an edge on its competition, Nirvana even outperforms Optifine! These mods have been chosen in order to give you peak performance
Optifine Parity
Nirvana includes features and addons that can be found in Optifine, including shaders, connected textures, and zoom. If your resource pack has features that require Optifine, it is likely compatible with Nirvana as well.
Continuously Expanding Wiki
It isn't always easy figuring out what something does, or how to make a modpack function exactly how you want it to. Thats why we have a wiki! This wiki contains answers to common questions, controls, and configurations to make your experience with Nirvana exactly how you want it.
Frequent Updates and Support
I personally use Nirvana every time I play Minecraft, I strive to keep the pack flawlessly stable and up to date. Every time a new Minecraft version releases I get right to work updating Nirvana so the new game update can be enjoyed, with all the features you've come to love from Nirvana.
