Knackering Pack
A(n almost) perfect kitchen sink modpack with optimization, no overlapping and unnecessary content, balance changes and difficulty
Quick answer
Which Knackering Pack release should I use?
Knackering Pack RELEASE 1.2.1 is a complete pack release for 1.18.2 with Forge. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. Could not safely read this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Knackering Pack for players and a server?
Use Knackering Pack RELEASE 1.2.1 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
What are the server requirements for Knackering Pack?
Knackering Pack RELEASE 1.2.1. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is Knackering Pack RELEASE 1.2.1. That file is for Minecraft 1.18.2 with Forge. We could not safely count the mods in this release. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Knackering Pack?
The perfect kitchen sink modpack, for experienced players
At least 7 GBs of RAM is recommended! If you crash, just try restarting the game. I don't recommend tweaking True Darkness (for full experience!)
CurseForge's description editor is extremely buggy, so I can't provide you with a description that doesn't look like a raided website. Here's a modlist though: https://www.modpackindex.com/modpack/50817/knackering-pack
In a nutshell, this modpack is just another kitchen sink pack, but with no overlapping content and unnecessary mods. There are lots of config changes and development is much more delicate than the average kitchen sink modpack. My main objectives before adding any new content is fixing issues, incompabilities, eliminating duplicates, giving uses to unused features and items, optimizing and balancing.
The main addition to this modpack as a kitchen sink pack is difficulty. I didn't make it necessarily more grindy but made the gameplay itself harder. Balancing includes buffed MineColonies, body temperature system, nerfed Ice and Fire spawn locations (farther from spawn) and smarter mobs. However, there are so many little tweaks and changes that I can't list them all, simply because I don't want to put all my energy into finding every single one of them.
