Smooth Server
This modpack will optimize your cheap server performance.
Quick answer
Which Smooth Server release should I use?
1.19.2 Fabric-SmoothS v1.1 is a complete pack release for 1.19.2 with Fabric 0.14.19. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 26 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Smooth Server for players and a server?
Use 1.19.2 Fabric-SmoothS v1.1 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Smooth Server?
1.19.2 Fabric-SmoothS v1.1. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is 1.19.2 Fabric-SmoothS v1.1. That file is for Minecraft 1.19.2 with Fabric 0.14.19. It contains 26 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.

MOD LIST:
- No Chat Reports (by Aizistral)
This mod removes tracking on chat messages and disables player chat reporting in version 1.19.1. It does not include any exploit to counteract reporting on the server. If you do not like servers that enforce chat signing and reporting, it is suggested not to play on them. The mod only works on client side and will not change the server rules.
- Fabric API (by modmuss50)
Fabric API is a library for essential hooks and mechanisms for Fabric mods. It provides access to features such as particles, biomes, and dimensions, improves inter-mod compatibility, adds essential features, and has an advanced rendering API. It requires Fabric Loader to be installed and works as a mod. It also check out Fabric Loader which is version independent mod loader for Fabric.
- YetAnotherConfigLib (by XanderIsDev)
This mod was made to fill a gap in Fabric modding for config libraries. The existing ones are stale, not designed for config, include unwanted cosmetics, or have other utilities that add to the size. YetAnotherConfigLib aims to address these issues. It is focused on config functionality without added utilities or cosmetics.
- Concurrent Chunk Management Engine (Fabric) (by ishlandmc)
C2ME is a mod that improves chunk generation and loading performance by using multiple CPU cores. It's recommended to use it with Lithium and Starlight. It stands for Concurrent Chunk Management Engine. It's currently in alpha stage and experimental, so it's important to backup your worlds before using it.
- Krypton (by tuxed)
Krypton is a work-in-progress mod for optimizing Minecraft networking. It contains optimizations such as efficient Netty handlers, flush consolidation, and micro-optimizations to reduce memory usage and improve packet speeds. It should work anywhere where Minecraft can run, but support beyond the Fabric API, Lithium and Sodium is provided on a best-effort basis.
- Let Me Despawn (by frikinjay1)
This mod improves performance by making mobs that pick up or equip items despawn like other mobs. This can decrease entity lag caused by persistent mobs. When the mob despawns, it drops the item it picked up or equipped back on the ground, so you don't lose it. You can still prevent mobs from despawning by naming them with a name tag.
- Debugify (by XanderIsDev)
Fixes Minecraft bugs found on the bug tracker
- ServerCore (by Wesley8081)
A mod that optimizes the Minecraft server for better performance and less lag. It works on both dedicated servers and singleplayer. Includes various patches, optimizations and configurable features that can reduce lag, but may also have a slight impact on gameplay. Some of the optimizations may alter vanilla mechanics, but can be turned off in the config. Features include entity activation range, dynamic performance checks, villager lobotomization, breeding caps and more.
- Alternate Current (by SpaceWalkerRS)
Alternate Current is a redstone dust implementation that reduces lag and improves performance. It optimizes power calculations and reduces the number of shape and block updates. The block update order of redstone dust networks is predictable and intuitive. It reduces MSPT contributions of redstone dust by up to 20 times while maintaining a high level of Vanilla parity. It's minimally invasive and easy to implement as a drop-in replacement for Vanilla redstone dust.
- spark (by Iucko)
Spark is a performance profiler for Minecraft clients, servers, and proxies. It can diagnose performance and memory issues, and keep track of overall server health. It is lightweight, easy to use, and quick to produce results. It has two different profiler engines, one for Linux x86_64 systems and one for Java ThreadMXBean. It can also monitor garbage collection activity and report metrics like TPS, tick durations, CPU and memory usage, and disk usage. It can also monitor individual ticks and send a report when a tick's duration exceeds a certain threshold, which can help identify performance issues.
- Very Many Players (Fabric) (by ishlandmc)
VMP is a mod that improves server performance for high player counts. It is still in early development and may have issues, please report them. It's designed to improve performance without sacrificing vanilla functionality. It's recommended to use it with Lithium. It achieves improvements by optimizing various parts of the game, such as packet sending, player lookups, entity trackers, and more.
- Lithium (Fabric) (by jellysquid3_)
Lithium is a performance mod for Minecraft that improves various systems without changing vanilla mechanics. It works on both client and server and can be installed separately. For multiplayer servers, it improves tick times and allows for more players and entities. It also improves performance in single-player by optimizing the internal game server. It is suitable for almost any Minecraft server running Fabric and is even allowed in Minecraft speedrunning because it does not change vanilla gameplay.
- LazyDFU (by tuxed)
LazyDFU is an optimization mod for Minecraft that defers unnecessary initialization work. It makes the initialization of DataFixerUpper "lazy" - that is, it will not immediately create the rules required to migrate data from older versions of Minecraft to newer versions until it actually needs to do so. Mojang now implements the functionality LazyDFU provides on the server side. It is designed for Fabric/Quilt.
- MemoryLeakFix (by FX_PR0CESS)
A mod that fixes random memory leaks for both the client and server
- Ksyxis (by VidTu)
This mod speeds up world loading by not loading nearby chunks every time. It may be unstable and incompatible with some mods. Vanilla Minecraft loads a large amount of chunks every time a world is loaded, this mod disables this feature. It may not have a noticeable effect on high-end PCs, it is primarily designed for low-end devices.
- Carpet-Fixes (by FX_PR0CESS)
This mod works for both singleplayer and multiplayer. It only modifies server-side functionality but also fix some client-side bugs when carpet-fixes is on the server as well.
It can also be installed on client side.
- Smooth Boot (Fabric) (by UltimateBoomer)
Smooth Boot is a mod that improves Minecraft's loading speed. It modifies parameters in Java for parallel execution. This includes the number of threads and the priority of each thread. Some tasks are faster with one thread instead of multiple, so these are extracted to run on one thread. It's a simple mod that improves the game's loading performance.
- TCDCommons API (by TheCSDev)
TCDCommons is a library for Minecraft modding that speeds up development and avoids re-writing code. It does not offer any front-end features to the user. It will be used as an embedded library in other mods by the author. If you are using any of the author's mods that use this library, you do not have to download it, but you can download it for minor updates. The author will update the other mods that use this library when this mod has significant updates.
- MCMTFabric (by himekifee)
This is a mod for Minecraft that enables multithreading for worlds, entities, tile entities, and environment ticks. It is under testing to see if it works with other mods. Single player testing shows a small drop in tps with the mod enabled, but little difference with it disabled or not installed. It is a server-side mod and will not increase framerates. Vanilla clients can connect to a server with just this mod and fabric installed.
- FerriteCore (Fabric) (by malte0811)
This mod reduces memory usage in Minecraft. The amount of memory saved varies depending on the pack. In version 2.5.9 of All Of Fabric 3, it reduces RAM usage from 1,792 MB to 984 MB. This is compared to using Hydrogen which uses 1,335 MB in the same setup. These values were measured after generating a world with a fixed seed and waiting for two minutes.
- Chunky (Fabric) (by pop4959)
This mod pre-generates chunks quickly, efficiently, and safely. It has the following features: Start multiple chunk generation tasks at the same time; Pause tasks and save them for later; Displays information such as chunks processed, percent to completion, ETA, and chunk processing rate.
- No Unused Chunks (by TheCSDev)
This mod reduces the size of Minecraft worlds by discarding unused chunks. It is important to back-up your world before using it. TCDCommons and Mod Menu are optional dependencies. The mod automatically discards new chunks, but this feature can be disabled. It reduces world size but affects performance.
