What is Ion?

Ion is a modpack with 18 of the essential optimization mods for Minecraft. Simply put, this helps your game run smoother, quicker, and more reliably without changing any part of the normal vanilla experience.

Why would I need this?

Ion can extremely benefit those with lower-spec computers or those who want to run multiple things at once (such as Minecraft and editing software at once) without Minecraft being too much of a resource hog.

Variations:

  • Nvidia - Only works with Nvidia GPUs and does not have shader support
  • Shaders - (Recommended) Works with Nvidia, Intel, and AMD GPUs and has shader support

Important to note:

  1. Ion is not allowed in speedrunning
