Minecraft CD-ROM
But Minecraft never released on CD-Rom? Look into the looking glass where it did and reveal the secrets it holds
Quick answer
Which Minecraft CD-ROM release should I use?
Minecraft CD-ROM 1.1.0 is a complete pack release for 1.20.1 with Forge 47.3.28. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. 39 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Minecraft CD-ROM for players and a server?
Use Minecraft CD-ROM 1.1.0 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Minecraft CD-ROM?
Minecraft CD-ROM 1.1.0. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is Minecraft CD-ROM 1.1.0. That file is for Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.3.28. It contains 39 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Minecraft CD-ROM?
Hey! I know that this may seem strange but I was talking to my friend about old CD-ROM games talking about our favorites. During our conversation she mentioned a game called "Minecraft" I had never heard of it so I looked it up, no results. Further investigation lead no where I was starting to belive she made this whole thing up. That was until I got a text from her about it. She had found her old copy and wanted to bring it to me. We met up and she handed me the case that held the disk. I took it home and dumpped it into a playble file which I have uploaded here including my friends old world.
The game was cleary dated but I played through and the game was fun. I wondered why this game hadn't taken off. This question would soon be answered stange happenings would plague my expericence. It didn't feel like a bug or computer virus, it felt like the game was reaching out to me. There is a belief called Ruach, part of this belief is that a person can impart a piece of their soul into a craft. Is it possible that my friend or perhaps the creator of the game put some piece of themself into this game. Is this game...
