Silly Optimized
A (now primarily) Neoforge modpack made 90% for FPS and 10% for QoL
Quick answer
Which Silly Optimized release should I use?
Silly Optimized 1.0.0 is a complete pack release for 1.20.4 with NeoForge 20.4.232. Install it as its own launcher instance. If the creator publishes a separate server file, make sure it names this exact pack release. For this loader, use Java 17. 17 mods in this pack file.
Pack setup
How should I set up Silly Optimized for players and a server?
Use Silly Optimized 1.0.0 as the pack version. Install the pack as its own launcher instance. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file, so check the release notes before setting up a dedicated server. Do not upload the ordinary client folder blindly.
A pack is a matched client and server setup, not one mod with an install-side label. Keep its release, loader, manifest and overrides together.
These numbers come from the pack file you chose. “Not labelled” means we don’t know which side it belongs on—not that it is safe everywhere. The file count is not a RAM estimate.
What are the server requirements for Silly Optimized?
Silly Optimized 1.0.0. Change the pack release and its contents or setup may change too.
The selected pack release is Silly Optimized 1.0.0. That file is for Minecraft 1.20.4 with NeoForge 20.4.232. This NeoForge setup needs Java 17. It contains 17 mod projects. The creator’s listing does not name a separate server file. Check their notes before using one, and do not upload an ordinary client folder or rebuild the pack mod by mod. A file count cannot tell us the right RAM, CPU or storage; size the server for the players and world you actually run.
About this project
What kind of pack is Silly Optimized?
end of support
When I made this modpack, it was meant to be a Neoforge optimization pack, but as you can clearly see, there is barely any Neoforge versions and a boat load of Fabric, which just defeats the purpose of the pack. To end off the pack, I will make one final 1.21 pack as soon as possible once the version releases. If you need recommendations on optimization modpacks, use Simply Optimized, Fabulously Optimized, Adrenaline, or Additive (none of which are Neoforge, but they will update quicker than this ever did.)
A (now primarily) Neoforge modpack made 90% for FPS and 10% QoL.
This modpack gets great FPS (at least on my PC) and also includes 2 QoL mods: Zume and WorldHost (go support them on Modrinth!)
I might make a version with more QoL and Optifine features if this becomes popular.
Use this all you want, I don't need credit but it would be nice :]
Fabric alpha and Neoforge beta system
Due to the slow updating nature of Neoforge and its mods, I will have Fabric alphas available whenever important mods aren't available in Neoforge. Neoforge betas will be out whenever important mods are available, but not QoL mods or a couple performance mods. NOTE: alphas and betas may both run worse than full releases.
Special Thanks to Simply Optimized, I have added their options.txt file as of alpha 1.0.0.1
