The Intergalactic Squirrels

The Official modpack for The Intergalactic Squirrels Discord Community.

The modpacks main goal is adding an inclussive and immersive environment to the Official IGSQ Minecraft server. It contains features focusing on community, fun and inclusivity running on a well optimised base.

Main Features

• Many optimisation mods such as sodium
• Shader and dynamic lights support
• Better First and third person animations.
• Greatly increased render distance with a LOD system to keep performance high
• Better Saturation, food, armour displays and item pickups.
• In game voice chat and a sound system that is dynamic to your surroundings.
• Ability to express yourself with Emotes, expressions, custom capes and much more
• Ui changes to display skins on the locator bar, items in your inventory and many improvements to interfaces.
• Schematics and holograms that you can use help speedup building.

Support & Restrictions

The Modpack is made specifically for the IGSQ Minecraft server. Using this modpack on different servers puts you at risk of violating their rules. Please make sure to follow the rules of any server you join and make sure that all mods in this modpack are allowed on the server you are trying to play on.
Some features of this modpack require the server to be setup to support them. Public servers will

• not be able to use voice chat and will display a disconnected symbol
• emotes will not be sent to the server and as such only you will be able to see your own emotes
• Saturation and food displays will be less accurate
• Greater Render distance will be limited to keeping only previously rendered chunks by your game

Version Support

For the most part only the newest stable & WIP version will be actively getting new features. Previous versions will get those features later down the road until they go EOL. When a new major version is released the last goes into maintenance. You can expect mod update support in maintenance for about 9 months (~1 year or 4 mc versions total) after which the version will go end of life.

Only the latest minor mc version of a major mc version is supported. Alas 26.1 and 26.1.1 are not supported. Only 26.1.2. With that being said only the newest feature version the modpack for the represented version is supported. No support will be given on 1.5 or 2.3 for example.

Active Development

• 26.2: 4.0.0b1 Current WIP. EOL 27.2
• 26.1.2: 3.3.3 Current Primary Release. EOL 27.1

Alpha versions (marked with a "a" in the version number) are expected to be only tested by technical players as issues are likely to arise.
Nothing in these releases is final and features will likely come and go. It is a testing playground.
Beta vesions (marked with a "b" in the version number) are more open to public testing. Features are more likely to be more finalised but may still be removed if required without warning.

Supported with delayed feature updates (Maintenance)

• 1.21.11: 2.5.1 EOL at 26.4.
• 1.21.10: 1.7.1 EOL at 26.3.

End of Life (No new updates)

• 26.1: 3.0.0a1 Superseeded by 26.1.2's 3.3.3

• At this time the Modpack bundles the Official IGSQ Server Resourcepack for convenience. The resourcepack does not follow this Modpack licence.
• Older versions of this modpack ( <1.7 & < 2.2) bundled nvidium. The versions used were not yet released on modrinth. Nvidium follows the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 licence.
