About this project

What does GlymeraBucket add?

GlymeraBucket - Scoop & Pour Any Fluid

One bucket for every fluid in Hytale. Scoop and place Water, Lava, Poison, Slime, Red Slime and Tar - each shown inside the pail. Set how many pours a filled bucket holds, per fluid. Charges live in the item, so filled buckets can be traded or sold.

Pure server-side plugin - no client mod required.

What is GlymeraBucket?

Vanilla only lets you scoop water. GlymeraBucket adds one crafted Bucket that picks up and places six different fluid sources - Water, Lava, Poison, Slime, Red Slime and Tar. Right-click a source to fill it (the bucket shows that fluid inside), right-click again to pour the source back out. Every fluid is its own filled variant with a matching look and its own configurable number of charges.

How It Works

  1. Craft a Bucket (recipe below) or grab one from the creative menu.
  2. Right-click a fluid source in the world to scoop it up - the bucket fills and shows that fluid.
  3. Right-click again to place the source back down. On a solid block the fluid lands on the face you clicked; on another fluid it replaces it.
  4. Each pour uses one charge. When the charges run out, the bucket is empty again.

Because the remaining charges live inside the item itself, a filled bucket is a normal tradeable item - hand it to another player or sell it in a shop and the fluid comes with it.

Six Fluids, One Bucket

Water - Lava - Poison - Slime - Red Slime - Tar.

Each filled bucket carries the real fluid's texture inside the pail, so you can tell a Lava bucket from a Poison or Tar bucket at a glance.

Crafting Recipe

Input Bench Output
1x Wooden Bucket + 1x Greater Essence of Life Farming Bench 1x Bucket

The recipe can be turned off in the config.

Configuration

Generated at first startup: mods/de.glymera_GlymeraBucket/config.json

Setting Default Description
recipeEnabled true Whether the Bucket is craftable at the Farming Bench
charges.Water ... charges.Tar 1 How many source blocks a filled bucket of that fluid can place before it empties

Every fluid has its own charge value, so you can make a Lava bucket that pours three times while a Water bucket pours once - your choice.

Features

  • Six fluids in one bucket - Water, Lava, Poison, Slime, Red Slime, Tar
  • Per-fluid charges - configure how many pours each filled bucket holds
  • Tradeable & sellable - charges are stored in the item, so filled buckets move between players and shops intact
  • Fluid-matched look - every filled bucket shows its own fluid inside
  • Simple recipe - one Wooden Bucket + one Greater Essence of Life at the Farming Bench
  • Lightweight & server-side - no client mod, built on native scoop/place mechanics

Installation

  1. Place GlymeraBucket-1.0.0.jar in your server's mods/ folder
  2. Start (or restart) the server
  3. Done!
