Romna's Core
Romna's Core is the shared base of my mods. On its own it doesn't add anything you can see in game. You only need it if you play Romna's Ascension or Romna's Soulforging, and Romna's Quality Crafting uses it too when it's installed.
Quick answer
Which Romna's Core release should I use?
Romna's Core RomnasCore-1.0.0.jar targets 0.7. Do not install it as a separate client mod. Enable it on the world host—the local server in singleplayer or the dedicated server in multiplayer. No required dependencies listed for this file.

About this project
What does Romna's Core add?
Romna's Core is the shared base of my mods. On its own it doesn't add anything you can see in game. You only need it if you play Romna's Ascension or Romna's Soulforging, and Romna's Quality Crafting uses it too when it's installed.
Why it exists
Several of my mods give the same kind of bonus. Soulforging has crit and life steal traits on your gear, Ascension has crit and life steal in its talent tree, and Quality Crafting makes Legendary weapons hit harder. If each mod applied its own bonus, they would multiply each other. You'd end up one-shotting everything at high level, crit twice on the same hit, or get your movement speed overwritten by whichever mod updated last.
The Core fixes that. Each mod tells it what it gives, the Core adds everything up and applies it once per hit.
What it handles
- Damage bonus (%)
- Critical chance and critical damage
- Execute (bonus damage on low health targets)
- Life steal and thorns
- Dodge, block and damage resistance
- Fall damage reduction
- Max health, stamina and mana
- Movement speed and jump height
- Double drops when mining, chopping and harvesting
Some of these have caps so you can't stack them forever: crit chance stops at 50%, crit damage at ×2.5, dodge and block at 50% each, and damage resistance at 80%. The caps can be changed in the config.
For server owners
The config is mods/Romna_Core/config.json. You can change the caps, the base crit multiplier and the low health threshold for execute, and turn off the floating combat texts (CRIT!, DODGE…).
When you update, the new balance values are applied once to your existing config. After that your own changes are kept.
Dependencies
- Romna's Ascension: requires the Core.
- Romna's Soulforging: requires the Core.
- Romna's Quality Crafting: works with or without it. With the Core, its quality damage bonus joins the shared total.
I recommend playing with all four together. They're balanced as a set.
