About this project
What does Voice Stone add?
Hold a Voice Stone and you can hear every other stone-carrier — wherever they are. Your voice plays from their stone, theirs from yours. No commands, no menus: everything is gestures.
Getting a Voice Stone

Craft it at the Arcane bench. The stones come in four colors — pick the one you like, they all work the same.
| Voice Stone | Gemstone | Essence of Life | Essence of the Void | Enkindled Sigil |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emerald | 1 Emerald | 10 | 10 | 1 |
| Zephyr | 1 Zephyr | 10 | 10 | 1 |
| Sapphire | 1 Sapphire | 10 | 10 | 1 |
| Ruby | 1 Ruby | 10 | 10 | 1 |
There are also Diamond, Topaz and Void variants, but since the gemstones cannot be obtained in Adventure, they are only in creative inventory.
Using your stone
Put a Voice Stone in your hand (hotbar or utility slot) — that is all. While holding the stone:
- You hear every other stone-carrier through your own stone, even on the other side of the world or in another world.
- They hear you the same way.
- Anyone standing next to you still hears you normally — the stone never changes how the world hears you, it only carries you further.
To stop carrying your voice or stop hearing others, just switch to another item.
Linking stones
A stone can be linked to specific players. Links belong to the stone, not to you: give the stone away, and its links go with it.
Link or unlink
Hold the stone, look at a player (4 blocks reach), then crouch + right-click. The same gesture on a linked player unlinks them.
- A link makes your voice play from that player's stone only — other stone-carriers no longer hear you through the network.
- A linked stone changes appearance, and its tooltip lists who it is linked to.
- The stone is a loudspeaker, not a whisper: anyone standing next to a playing stone overhears everything.
Private networks
When two stones link to each other, other players can no longer hear the pair through any stone. People nearby, in person or next to the stones themselves, still can.
Mana
The Voice Stone feeds on your mana:
- Holding the stone while talking drains a little mana every second. There is no drain if you are muted mic or your voice chat is off.
- Linking or unlinking a player costs mana up front. If you don't have enough mana, the stone refuses.
Out of mana
Your voice stops passing through any stone if your mana reaches 0. You will then have to wait for 3 seconds before it regenerates, but your stone keeps hearing for you: an empty tank seals the mouth, not the ears.
Config
A config.json file is generated under Ratnaraj.VoiceStone, in which you can change the mana consumption values.
Roadmap
Possibility to put Voice Stones in utility slots.- Translation for all currently available languages.
- Add an interaction on a gemstone to reset all links of a voice stone.
