About this project

What does Dropped Buffs add?

Logo Dropped Buffs

Hi! Welcome to the dropped buffs mod. It is a mod that i made with intention to add a little bit of rpg to minecraft. It is my own reflection on the idea of buffs dropping from enemies (like healing potions or something). I hope you enjoy it!

Features:

Dropped Buffs is a mod that adds buffs which can be dropped after a mob's death. Currently, it includes 10 different buffs, adding variety to fighting mobs. Buffs can aid you in combat or help you escape. Initially, buffs have a 5% chance to drop, with an additional 2% per looting level, and an extra 3% for having the luck effect. Only the player who killed the mob can pick up the buff it dropped. Buffs last for 20 seconds. These settings can be changed in the config file, where you can also enable or disable specific buffs. Most of the buffs are based on vanilla Minecraft effects. Picking up the buffs triggers a nice visual effect.

Buffs:

Absorption Buff: Grants the absorption II effect for 30 seconds.

Absorption

Haste Buff: Grants the haste effect for 30 seconds.

Haste

Heal Buff: Heals 10 HP.

Invisibility Buff: Grants the invisibility effect for 30 seconds.

Luck Buff: Grants the luck effect for 30 seconds (added because luck also increases buff drop chance).

Meat Buff: Feeds you.

Resistance Buff: Grants the resistance effect for 30 seconds.

Speed Buff: Grants the speed effect for 30 seconds.

Strength Buff: Grants the strength effect for 30 seconds.

Water Breathing Buff: Grants the water breathing effect for 30 seconds (can only drop if the mob was killed in water).

Fire Resistance Buff: Grants Fire Resistance effect for 30 seconds (will drop if player on fire or in nether).

Night Vision Buff: Grants Night Vision effect for 30 seconds (will drop if player is in dark area).
