About this project

What does Blue Hearts add?

Blue Hearts

Life and Absorption? Go further! In short, this mod adds the Blue Blood Potion. It can be made with Vital Sap. After taking a Blue Blood Potion, you will receive a new type of health: Blue Hearts!

These new hearts are not regenerated by saturation, but by sleeping. Damage caused by blue hearts cannot be reduced by armor.

Attention! The mod currently has two versions that integrate different features:

  • v.3.0:
    • Improved display of the blue heart bar.
    • Added a sound effect when blue hearts take damage.
    • Goodfellow’s Ability: When the Absorption effect is active, yellow hearts are converted to blue hearts when available.
    • Petrified Blue Blood: This item can be equipped in the “charm” slot of the Curios, and doing so grants a small amount of damage reduction when blue hearts are present.
    • Heart of Marblemaroon: This item can be equipped in the “charm” slot of the Curios, and when equipped, it converts red hearts into blue hearts and removes hunger.
  • v.2.3:
    • Improved Vital Bush generation;
    • Removal of packet synchronization overhead;
    • New sprite for Vital Bush;
    • New alternative recipe for Blue Eye;
    • CuriosAPI is now mandatory, no longer optional.
  • v.2:
    • Vital Bush: A new bush generated by the ceiling of the Lush Caves. It produces the new Vital Fruit which can be eaten, used for replanting or for making Vital Sap;
    • Extra content with the Curios API! - Revitalizing Crying Charm: This amulet can be equipped in Curios' 'charm' slot and after doing so, it will regenerate a little of the blue hearts from time to time.
    • All items from the previous version.
  • v.1:
    • Blue Heart: A new type of life/health heart that cannot be regenerated with saturation, but can be regenerated when sleeping. The damage caused to them cannot be reduced by armor. These blue hearts can be obtained with the Blue Blood Potion or reset with the Orange Antidote, with a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 0 hearts.
    • Blue Blood Potion: Potion prepared with Vital Sap;
    • Orange Antidote Potion: Potion prepared with Damage Potion and Rotten Flesh;
    • Vital Sap: Goo made on the workbench with Slime Ball, Glittering Watermelon, Soul Sand and Lapis Lazuli;
    • Commands for managing players' hearts;
    • Configuration file for the world's initial hearts.
