About this project
What does RS-Economy add?
RS-Economy
RS-Economy is a lightweight, server-side economy and trading mod for NeoForge designed to provide Minecraft servers with a complete, configurable financial system. It combines persistent player balances, player trading, automated shops, bounties, leaderboards, lotteries, casino features, and extensive administration tools in a single mod.
The system is designed to remain easy to configure and maintain while offering enough flexibility for different server types and economies. Most features can be configured in-game through /rs:economy or directly through the configuration files.

Player Commands
Economy
/balance– View your current balance/pay– Transfer money to another player/daily_reward– Claim your daily reward/leaderboard– View the server's richest players/bounty– Place a bounty, check a bounty, or view the bounty list
Trading
/trade <player> <price> [count]– Offer the item in your hand to another player for a fixed price/trade accept– Accept an incoming trade offer/trade deny– Deny an incoming trade offer/trade cancel– Cancel your active trade offer
Trade offers are tied to the exact item being offered. If the item is dropped, changed, or otherwise no longer matches the offer, the trade is cancelled. Offers also expire automatically, ensuring that outdated offers cannot remain active indefinitely.
Only one outgoing and one incoming trade offer can be active at a time, keeping player-to-player transactions simple and easy to understand.
Sign Shops
RS-Economy allows players to turn signs attached to chests, barrels, and shulker boxes into fully automated shops.
Create a shop by writing [Shop] on the first line and setting a price on the next line. RS-Economy automatically detects the item and displays the current stock directly on the sign.
- Right-click to buy items
- Left-click to sell items
- Live stock count displayed on the sign
- Reopen your own shop's sign editor by sneak-clicking it
- Change prices at any time
- Shops are protected from unauthorized access and destruction
- Administrators can create shops using
/rs:economy shop_create - Admin shops can be created without requiring a chest
Shop functionality is fully integrated with the server economy and can be configured through the mod's configuration.
Bounties
Players can place bounties on one another using their own balance. Multiple players can contribute to the same bounty, creating a shared reward pool.
The player who kills the target receives the entire accumulated bounty.
Bounties can be configured with:
- Minimum bounty amounts
- Expiration times
- Optional refunds when a bounty expires
- Optional anonymous server-wide announcements for large bounties
- Administrative creation and management
Lottery
RS-Economy includes a recurring server-wide lottery that can be enabled when desired.
Players can purchase tickets, with additional tickets increasing their chances of winning. Draws happen automatically according to a configurable timer.
Depending on the configured prize table, a lottery can award:
- Money
- Rare items
- Other configurable rewards
Players do not need to be online when a draw takes place. Winnings are stored and automatically delivered when the player next joins the server.
The lottery is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled by the server administrator.
Lottery Commands
/lottery– View lottery information/lottery info– View the current pot and time until the next draw/lottery buy [count]– Purchase lottery tickets
Casino
RS-Economy provides optional casino functionality with two different gambling systems.
Slot Machines
Signs can be configured as slot machines with a configurable stake and maximum payout. Players can then spin the machine and receive payouts according to the configured system.
The machine uses its owner's balance as the house bankroll, while the owner can optionally provide additional funds to cover potential payouts.
Coin Flip
Players can challenge each other to a coin flip using a fixed stake. The winner receives the resulting pot.
Coin Flip Commands
/coinflip <player> <stake>– Challenge another player/coinflip accept– Accept a coin flip challenge/coinflip deny– Deny a challenge/coinflip cancel– Cancel your active challenge
All casino-related features are disabled by default and are entirely opt-in for server administrators.
Scoreboard
RS-Economy can display a live sidebar scoreboard containing useful economy statistics.
Depending on the configuration, the scoreboard can display information such as:
- Player rank
- Current bounty
- Other economy-related statistics
The scoreboard automatically uses each player's selected language.
Scoreboard Command
/scoreboard_toggle– Show or hide the scoreboard for yourself
Administration
RS-Economy provides administrators with comprehensive tools for managing the server economy.
Administrators can:
- Set, add, and remove player balances
- Rename the server currency
- Configure daily reward ranges
- Enable or disable the leaderboard
- Create, remove, and configure bounties
- Configure bounty minimum amounts and expiration times
- Enable or disable individual systems
- Configure lottery settings and prize tables
- Configure casino and slot machine settings
- Manage shops
- Reload configuration and localization files without restarting the server
All major systems can be configured through /rs:economy or through the server configuration files.
Localization
RS-Economy includes extensive localization support. Every player-facing message can be customized through editable .properties language files.
The mod includes translations for:
- English
- German
- French
- Spanish
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Italian
- Dutch
The player's client language is detected automatically, with a configurable fallback language when a translation is unavailable.
Additional languages can be added without modifying the mod itself.
Configuration
RS-Economy is designed to give server administrators control over every major aspect of the economy.
Configuration options cover systems such as:
- Currency
- Daily rewards
- Leaderboards
- Bounties
- Trading
- Shops
- Lottery
- Casino
- Scoreboard
- Localization
Configuration and language changes can be reloaded without restarting the server.
Important: All gambling-related features — including the lottery, casino, and coin flip — are disabled by default. Servers must explicitly enable them if they want to offer gambling mechanics.
