About this project
What does BountyBags add?
Bounty Bags
Embark on an enhanced combat experience with Bounty Bags — a sophisticated reward system that introduces tiered loot bags dropped by hostile entities, with boss-exclusive bags, luck-based upgrades, biome bonuses, and deep configuration.
Reward Tiers (Regular Mobs)
| Tier | Drop Chance |
|---|---|
| Uncommon Bounty Bag | 10.0% |
| Rare Bounty Bag | 3% |
| Epic Bounty Bag | 1.5% |
| Legendary Bounty Bag | 0.5% |
Boss-Exclusive Bags
Defeat the mightiest bosses to earn ultra-powerful bags filled with max-enchanted Netherite gear and rare special items. Each boss has its own unique loot pool:
- Dragon Bounty Bag — Dropped by the Ender Dragon (50% chance by default). Contains End-themed loot: Elytra, Dragon Egg, Totems, Enchanted Golden Apples, and max-enchanted Netherite.
- Warden Bounty Bag — Dropped by the Warden (50% chance by default). Contains Deep Dark-themed loot: Totems, Heart of the Sea, Recovery Compass, Sculk Sensor, and max-enchanted Netherite.
- Wither Bounty Bag — Dropped by the Wither (25% chance by default). Contains Nether-themed loot: Beacons, Nether Stars, Wither Skeleton Skulls, and max-enchanted Netherite.
Boss drop chances are fully configurable.
Key Features
- Strategic drop rates for balanced progression across five tiers
- Boss-exclusive bags for the Ender Dragon, Warden, and Wither — each with unique, ultra-powerful loot pools
- Luck-based tier upgrades — having the Luck effect when opening a bag gives a chance to upgrade it to the next tier; supports diminishing returns and a configurable max number of upgrades per opening
- Biome drop bonuses — mobs in the Nether and The End drop higher-tier bags more frequently (multipliers configurable per tier)
- Per-mob drop multipliers — individually tune drop rates for Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, Spiders, and Endermen
- Bag Recycling — combine lower-tier bags in a crafting grid to upgrade them (default: 9 Uncommon → 1 Rare, 9 Rare → 1 Epic, 9 Epic → 1 Legendary)
- Dedicated loot tables for each regular bag tier, fully replaceable via datapacks
- Custom loot config — optionally define per-tier loot item lists directly in the config file instead of using loot tables
- Mob whitelist mode — toggle between all hostile mobs dropping bags or a specific whitelist of allowed mob types
- Right-click to open bags directly from your hand
- Configurable stack size (default: 16, up to 64)
- Full multiplayer compatibility
- Debug logging mode for server owners to troubleshoot drop behavior
