About this project

What does Context Matters add?

A library allowing for simple and performant connected Textures. Originally this was part of XyCraft, but this allows clients to still join vanilla servers while still having connected textures. In the case of it being on the server, this also provides a "rule" mapping for blockstates allowing someone to make use of blocks as an ingredient.

Documentation for how to implement it for other modders is in progress, but the core feature if you'd like to get started is that you will need at least 5 textures:

  • No Connection (single block)
  • Horizontal connections
  • Vertical connection
  • Cardinal (+ or just the axis directions)
  • Full (All sides are connected)
