About this project

What does Weapons Expanded add?

Melee Weapons

  • Broadsword: Lighter attack damage than the sword, made up for in extra speed.

  • Sickle: Slightly faster than the sword, with slightly less damage.

  • Scythe: A heavier hitter than the normal sword, but at the cost of speed.

  • Longsword: A heavier hitter than the scythe, but at the cost of even more speed. Can be wielded like a bastard sword, swapping between one-handed and two-handed grips using the default keybind 'V'

  • Katana: Deals the same damage as the sword, but with the speed of the broadsword. Disables the ability to use the offhand.

  • Hammer: Hits harder than an axe, but is also slower than an axe, and can stun shields like an axe.

  • Hatchet: A lighter axe that deals less damage, but is faster. Functions as a normal axe.

  • Battleaxe: A heavier axe that deals more damage than the hammer, and is slower. Functions as a normal axe.

  • Greatsword: A huge heavy hitter with slow speeds, but disables the ability to use the offhand.

  • Warhammer: The blunt end can stun shields like an axe, and the sharp end can sweep enemies like a sword. You can swap between them using the default keybind 'V'

Ranged Weapons

  • Longbow: A long range bow that takes longer to charge.

  • Chain Crossbow: A crossbow that can be loaded up to 4 times with different projectiles, and then fired in quick succession.

  • Heavy Arrow: An arrow that deals more base damage, but loses speed quicker than a vanilla arrow.

  • Dynamite Arrow: An arrow than can only be loaded into a crossbow, and explodes on impact. Takes extra durability off of the crossbow.

Enchantments

  • Withering: An enchantment for melee weapons, applying the Wither effect to any entity hit. Removes the poison effect of any entity hit. Incompatible with Fire Aspect, Frostbite, and Polluting

  • Frostbite: An enchantment for melee weapons, applying the Frostbite effect to any entity hit. Incompatible with Fire Aspect, Withering, and Polluting

  • Polluting: An enchantment for melee weapons, applying the Poison effect to any entity hit. Incompatible with Fire Aspect, Frostbite, and Withering

  • Freeze: An enchantment for bows that applies the frostbite effect to any entity hit. Incompatible with Flame.

  • Leech: An enchantment for shields that heals the player when they block with the shield, but the shield takes more durability damage, and when the shield is struck down with an axe, the player takes partial damage.

-Cleaving: Increases shield stun time of axes and similar weapons by +1 sec per level.

Effects

  • Frostbite: This effect mimics the effects of powdered snow, making the entity slower, and take damage over time. Can be removed by fire. Can be brewed into a potion using blue ice.

Extra Notes

https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/axes-are-weapons is recommended for versions before 1.7.0 for 1.21.11 because of changes it makes to enchanting that affects the custom weapons.
