About this project

What does retroEMI Forge add?

retroEMI Forge

An unofficial port of EMI to 1.7.10 Forge and 1.12.2 Forge/Cleanroom

EMI is a featureful and accessible item and recipe viewer. It brings many new features, and optimizes for the user experience. Now, you only need to install UniMixins (MixinBooter) and GTNH Lib additionally to enjoy EMI on 1.7.10/1.12.2 Forge.

Runtime NEIU / JEI / HEI Compat

Nemi and Jemi are compatibility layers used for synchronizing recipes, obtaining screen exclusion area, and proxying drag-and-drop operations, among other things.

However, the NEI/JEI plugins made by developers are not necessarily standard-compliant. Nemi/Jemi are difficult to predict and may encounter conversion failures.

When facing conversion issues, the best solution is to write a plugin that implements EmiPlugin, rather than denouncing retroEMI Forge as absolute garbage.

Nemi

Does not support NEI; only supports NEI-Unofficial (GTNH-NEI).

Note: This does not mean GTNH is fully supported yet. There are still many issues with GTNH at present—please use with caution.

Jemi

Supports both JEI and HEI.

Does not support NEI when it runs as a JEI addon, due to screen conflicts.

About this fork

  • This fork strives to remain as consistent as possible with the original project, except for removing content that does not exist in Minecraft 1.7.10/1.12.2 (such as compost, blast furnace recipes, etc.).
  • Parent Fork
  • Since EMI relies on fastutil and Mixin, you must install GTNH Lib(1.12.2 no need) and UniMixins/MixinBooter.
  • Not yet compatible with other mods; please write plugins for them.
