About this project

What does AD Stats add?

ADStats is a server-side mod that tracks and enhances player progression by monitoring their in-game activities and rewarding them with skill levels and stat bonuses.

The mod keeps detailed statistics for each player, including movement, combat, and resource gathering.

As players accumulate experience in various activities, their skills increase automatically, and the mod applies the corresponding in-game bonuses.

Keep in mind that the growth is exponential, so the more you level up a stat the more difficult it will be in the future. This can be used for either getting stronger, feeling a sense of accomplishment, or just flexing on your friends :D

Key features:

1. Activity tracking:

• Tracks the total distance travelled by players.

• Tracks damage dealt and taken, including damage dealt by bows and crossbows.

• Monitors fishing, farming, foraging, mining and excavation, for those of you that like to farm materials rather than fight.

• Tracks potions interactions and items enchanted.

2. Helpful Commands:

• /adstats : Displays your levels for all stats.

• /adstats skills : Displays your levels for all skills.

• /adstats <stat_name> : Displays what level the specific stat is, including what skills increase it.

• /adstats skills <skill_name> : Displays what level the specific skill is, what percent of the way you are to the next level and also what you need to do to grow it.

3. Skill levels:

Each tracked activity contributes to specific skill levels:

• Agility: Tracks distance traveled.

• Fighting: Tracks total damage dealt.

• Archery: Tracks bow damage dealt.

• Defense: Tracks total damage taken.

• Farming: Tracks gathering from farms.

• Foraging: Tracks cutting down trees.

• Mining & Excavation: Tracks breaking blocks.

• Fishing: Tracks how many fish you catch.

• Enchanting: Tracks items enchanted at an enchanting table.

• Alchemy: Tracks potions drunk/brewed/splashed

4. Skill effect:

• Agility: Increases Speed.

• Fighting: Increases Strength.

• Archery: Increases Strength.

• Defense: Increases Health and Toughness.

• Farming: Increases Health and Strength.

• Foraging: Increases Strength Toughness.

• Mining: Increases Luck and Toughness.

• Excavation: Strength.

• Fishing: Increases Health and Luck.

• Enchanting: Increases Luck.

• Alchemy: Increases Health.

5. Stat levels:

• Strength: Increases damage dealt per level

• Health: Increases total HP per level

• Speed: Increases movement speed on foot per level.

• Luck: Increases luck for things like looting chests or fishing per level.

• Toughness: Reduces damage taken per level.

6. Level-Up Notifications:

Players receive system messages whenever their skills level up, good to know isn’t it!

7. Persistent Data:

All stats are saved in the player’s persistent data using NBT, ensuring progress is maintained across sessions. A cache system is also used for efficient access and periodic saving. So you will not lose any progress if you crash!

8. Server Integration:

Fully server-side, so if the server has it downloaded, the players won’t need to have it as well, but you can if you want to! Of course, if you play singleplayer you will need it.

Overall Effect:

ADStats adds an RPG-like progression layer to Minecraft, rewarding players for a more diverse playstyle and providing growth in combat, exploration, and gathering. Players are incentivized to engage with the world in varied ways to level up their skills and improve their desired stats.
