About this project

What does Synapse add?

Synapse is a futuristic logistics mod that strives to put as much configuration and power in your hands as possible, while doing as little as possible without your input.

Transfer is done through networks that maintain a strict tree structure; that is, every "device" has at most one parent, but many children. This allows for an emergent addressing scheme that gives a fully configurable and unique identifier to every device on the network. This and a robust filtering scheme allows for any access point of the network to send specific items to specific destinations, unlocking incredible potential.

And worry not; in the future, there is no need to constantly upgrade a network to increase capacity! Just like a neuron's myelin sheath grows thicker with use, the connections between network devices grow in capacity on demand, and lose capacity when things are calm.

With Synapse, the only limit is your imagination. (And also a bunch of technical limitations but that doesn't sound as cool. Or as cheesy.)
