Bee Mastery

Master the art of beekeeping. Bee Mastery is a big expansion for Forestry: Community Edition — 11 new bees, living auras, top-tier tools and frames, and a hive you wear on your back that keeps working wherever you go.

It's the spiritual successor to the beloved ForestryExtras, rebuilt from scratch for modern Minecraft, with an in-game guide book in 10 languages so you're never lost.

A Bee House you wear in the chestplate slot. Put in a queen (or a princess and a drone), and the bees keep working wherever you walk — biome, weather, light and flowers all come from where you're standing. It runs Forestry's own beekeeping logic, so breeding, ageing and production work exactly as in a normal hive.

• 🌼 Flower slot — carry a flower your bees like and they stop needing flowers around you. The empty slot shows which one the current bee wants.
• 🎒 **A real 3D hive on your back** — bottom board, landing board, brood box, honey super and roof — with bees buzzing out of it while it works. Other players see them too.
• 🛡️ *Built-in armour* — craft the hive together with any chestplate to get its protection. If the chestplate breaks, the hive and its bees stay.
• 📊 Always know what your bees are doing — a small panel on screen shows the queen, her remaining life and the hive status, and the hive window tells you exactly why the bees stopped (too hot, raining, no flowers…).
• 🐝 Your own hive never stings you — aggressive or radioactive bees on your back won't hurt their owner. Other hives still will.
• ⌨️ Press B to open the hive on your back (rebindable).

Upgrade the hive with the mod's metals — Reinforced -> Draconic -> Legendary. Every tier adds speed and a module slot, and everything inside the hive is kept. Each tier looks the part, in your inventory and on your back.

Modules plug into a side panel of the hive window and switch on Forestry's own mechanics — the same ones its big machinery uses:

The Lantern even lights up the area around you and hangs a glowing lantern on the hive's roof. One module of each kind per hive; the Mutagen and the Gene Stabilizer don't mix.

The elite line is a breeding tandem: every bee mutates from the ones before it, all the way up to Legendary.

Five living auras pulse from the hives of their bees while they work:

• 🔥 Draconic — damages nearby hostiles and grants Strength
• 💙 Legendary — Regeneration and Absorption for nearby players
• 💀 Withering (Witheria) — withers nearby hostiles
• 🧪 Mutagenic (Mutated) — a random buff every pulse
• 🌾 Harvest (Carrot) — fertilizes nearby crops like bone meal

Bottle an aura into an **Aura Charm** to carry it with you, socket up to two charms into an **Aura Belt**, and cluster hives of the same aura together — they amplify each other.

• Nets (Scoops) — catch vanilla bees and turn them into Forestry drones. Reinforced, Draconic and Legendary tiers, 300 to 10,000 durability.
• Grafters — 3× to 10× sapling drops, forged from their tier's ingot.
• 19 Bee Frames — from Coal up to a tandem chain where every top frame is built from the frames below it, ending in the Legendary Frame (5× production) and the Frame of Mutation (10× mutation chance).
• Five material lines — Draconic, Legendary, Reinforced, Witheria and Mutated Iron, each with combs, nuggets, ingots, storage blocks and propolis.

A Patchouli guide book (Book + Reinforced Propolis) covers the breeding order, what each aura does, frame progression, tools and the Portable Hive. It opens in your game language: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, German, Dutch, Polish and Chinese (Simplified, Taiwan, Hong Kong).

JEI integration: bee breeding, frame and hive recipes, and a page for every aura show up automatically.

For modpack makers: a server config sets the hive speed per tier, module strengths, the lantern's light and more; clients can hide or move the hive panel.
