About this project

What does Rubber! add?

This simple and lightweight mod adds rubber to your minecraft world in a vanilla-like experience.

In order to make rubber, you'll first have to harvest jungle logs and put them into a stone cutter, and that's how you'll get your rubber drips.

With 8 rubber drips and a bottle you'll create a bottle of rubber:

By smoking that bottle of rubber, you'll finally get rubber which you can use. It has a dark gray color.

You can now create wax, an important compound of hardened leather:

Now, you can create thicker, waterproof, stronger and more durable leather:

With hardened leather, you can create a better-looking and stronger variant of the usual leather armor, as well as crafting new gear and items, such as:

The enhanced iron sword:

Or the improved bow, which shoots farther than its common counterpart:

Once you're in the Nether, you also have the optional to chop down some crimson trees and pour out infernal drips, a powerful rubber-like essence of the underground.

With that, you can craft a flexible version of the netherite armor out of the hardened leather armor, with just a small amount of netherite scraps:

You could additionally brew the Proof Potion, which grants lighter water movement, fire resistance, increased oxygen while in water and Absorption:

Also, there's the bleeding effect, with a chance of 20% (same as the chance of gravel dropping flint) for the enchanced iron sword to inflict it. This effect rapidly depletes the victim's health to 1 heart and a half.
