About this project
What does XP: Attribute Core add?
XP: Attribute Core
Attribute Core is a modular RPG-style attribute system that adds a wide variety of custom attributes, giving players more depth and challenge in gameplay.
The mod introduces RPG-like attributes and complementary mechanics to expand progression. It also provides configuration options so modpack creators can balance how attributes and systems behave.
Attribute Core includes its own Attribute Display Window, where players can view their active attributes, attribute IDs and current values. This window opens by default by pressing the K key.
Core Features
Attribute Core focuses on providing:
- A large set of custom attributes, including offensive, defensive and utility attributes.
- A dedicated Attribute Display Window, opened by default with the K key.
- The name, ID and current value of every active attribute displayed in the attribute window.
- Unique attribute IDs that make every attribute easier to identify and use in commands, datapacks and mod integrations.
- A Magic Find system that injects extra loot into configured tables (datapack-driven).
- Hooks and APIs so other mods and datapacks can build on top of it.
- Configuration options so modpack creators and server owners can balance the system.
On its own, Attribute Core does not try to be a full content mod. It provides the attributes, systems and hooks that other mods and modpacks can use.
Attribute Display Window
Attribute Core includes its own window for visualizing the player’s active attributes.
- Press K to open the Attribute Display Window.
- The window displays the name, ID and current value of each active Attribute Core attribute.

- The default key can be changed through Minecraft’s key-binding settings.
RPG Attributes
Attribute Core provides a large set of custom RPG attributes, grouped into three categories: Offensive, Defensive and Utility.
Each attribute includes its own unique ID under the attributecore namespace. These IDs can be used to identify attributes in commands, datapacks, configurations and mod integrations.

Magic Find System
The Magic Find attribute increases the chance for enemies and containers to drop extra items when killed or opened.
- Magic Find works by injecting additional rolls into configured loot tables.
- Each loot table can define:
- An activation chance (probability that Magic Find triggers for that table).
- A
rolls_by_mfmapping: for given Magic Find thresholds, how many extra rolls to perform. - A pool of possible items, each with:
required_mf— minimum Magic Find needed to be eligible.weight— relative probability of being selected.count_min/count_max— stack size range.
- When a player with Magic Find interacts with a configured loot table:
- The system checks the activation chance.
- It determines how many extra rolls to perform based on the player’s Magic Find.
- It builds a list of eligible entries where the player’s Magic Find is greater than or equal to
required_mf. - It performs weighted random selections from that pool.
- It injects the resulting items into the container.
Magic Find does not modify vanilla drops by default. It only affects loot tables that have a corresponding mf_inject JSON configuration defined via datapack or mod resources:
data/<namespace>/mf_inject
This allows modpack authors to:
- Add custom loot to specific chests, dungeons or boss drops.
- Gate powerful items behind Magic Find thresholds.
- Fine-tune drop rates using activation chance, roll ranges and weights.
- Define different item pools for different loot tables.
Configuration
📂 All configurations are located in:
modpack/config/everydayxp/attributecore
Library / API Focus
Attribute Core is intended to be used as a library/core dependency by:
- RPG and ARPG-style mods.
- Custom gear and stat frameworks.
- Class and build systems.
- Boss and dungeon content.
- Modpacks with heavy combat scaling and progression.
- Datapacks that require custom attribute-based mechanics.
On its own, Attribute Core does not try to be a full content mod. It provides the attributes, systems and hooks that other mods and modpacks can build upon.
