Where it goes

Install Fabric API first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup.

About this project
What does GhostChat add?
GhostChat is a private messaging mod that utilizes your character's skin layers to invisibly transfer messages to other players using the same mod.
Features:
- True Privacy: A completely private chat channel. Only you and other users of the mod can see your messages. Your communication never touches third-party servers.
- Vanilla Protocol: Communication is achieved through the game's existing protocols by toggling skin layers to transfer data.
- Proximity-Based: By its very nature, the channel is range-limited. Only players within the server's entity rendering distance can receive your messages, making it perfect for local coordination.
- User Discovery: Use the
/ghost nearcommand to scan for other nearby players who are also using the mod. - Client-only: Nothing needs to be installed on the server in order to use this mod, it's completely client-side.
How to Use:
- Ensure at least one other player with the mod is within your rendering distance.
- Use
/ghost toggleto switch your chat input to the GhostChat channel. - Alternatively, use
/ghost send <message>to send a single message without toggling. - Use
/ghost nearto find other users nearby.
