About this project
What does XP: Dungeon Blocks add?
I’ve been playing Minecraft with mods for years, but it’s always the same problem: unbalanced dungeons, loot that’s either too easy or completely useless. For a long time, I’ve wanted to create a mod that brings back the feeling of farming with original and useful rewards—something that makes finishing a dungeon truly satisfying, with surprises waiting every time. That’s why I’m working on a mod that delivers exactly that.
**Unique Dungeon Blocks** is a mod that adds a wide variety of special blocks with effects, events, and unique, fun mechanics! This mod is designed to enhance the entertainment value of other dungeon mods, with **Unique Dungeon Blocks** serving as the core foundation that brings true life to exploration.
Wave Spawner
The Wave Spawner is a dungeon block designed to generate waves of enemies when activated with a click. It detects the biome it is placed in and uses a configured mob group for that environment. On its first activation, it selects one specific mob from the group and saves it, so all future waves from that spawner will consist only of that mob. Waves have fixed sizes of 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 enemies, spawning around the block while respecting the maximum radius and valid positions. If no players are nearby, the event automatically resets. Once all waves are completed, the block transforms into a loot chest. Additionally, the client displays a HUD near the spawner showing the current wave, total waves, and the number of living enemies.
Boss Spawner
The Boss Spawner is a dungeon block that summons a unique boss when activated. On its first use, it selects a boss from the configuration and saves it for future activations. When spawned, the boss receives an epic name, basic equipment, 200 health, and configurable potion effects, with an optional bossbar visible within a set radius. The fight lasts 3 minutes; if the boss isn’t defeated in time or players move away, the event resets with no reward. During the battle, a HUD displays a countdown and boss information. Upon defeat, the block transforms into a loot chest, marking the event as completed.
