About this project
What does Eroded World add?
Eroded World
The world reacts directly to your actions. The more you mine, the more dangerous the environment around you becomes.
What does the mod do?
🏰 Spawn – The safest area where even the Wither won't dare to cross, but true adventure begins just outside its borders.
👁️ Darkness – It's no longer just a visual effect. In caves, mineshafts, or deep shadows, you must be prepared for anything. Regular torches help, but you have to keep placing them down. Want dynamic light straight in your hand instead? Craft an Eroded Torch or a Protection Lamp.
⚡ Stamina (Energy) – Represents your physical condition. Sprinting, crafting, repairing items, and dodging gradually consume it. Exhaustion will heavily restrict your movement, forcing you to plan every single step.
- How to restore it?_ Naturally over time, by eating, or by drinking an Energy Drink. You can also completely freeze its consumption for a limited time using an Energy Stabilizer.
⛏️ Mining and Cave-ins – Excessive mining destabilizes the underground. Without proper structural support, you risk cave-ins and spawning aggressive mobs—some of which can even snuff out your torches. You can partially prevent disaster by using logs as support beams.
💡 Protection Lamp – Your best companion underground. While held, it temporarily illuminates the area and protects mines from cave-ins. If placed on the ground, it explodes—however, this explosion does not destroy blocks; instead, it kills all aggressive mobs within an 8-block radius.
🌱 Ecosystem – The environment dynamically changes based on your behavior. If you overexploit and ruin an area over a long period, nature will begin to degrade. As a result, stronger mobs that don't mind direct sunlight may start spawning even during the day. The only cure is prevention: don't constantly mine in the exact same chunk.
🛡️ Claim Protection (Territorial Anchor) – While it won't stop mobs from entering, it securely protects your base from other players (griefing) and explosions. To activate the protection, you will need a Territorial Module and a Territorial Anchor.
- As the owner, you can click the anchor to add other players and grant them various permissions.
- If you hold another anchor and module in your hand, the mod will visually guide you to the recommended spot for placing the next anchor after a brief moment.
💀 Death – Death is never pleasant, especially in this mod. That's why you'll find these mechanics here:
- Death Chest – Protects your items for a limited time. The further away you are from the chest, the more this timer extends.
- Death Compass – A tracker that leads you directly back to your chest, even through portals.
- Protection & Weapon – Upon respawning, you receive temporary protection from mobs and a weapon hidden right inside the compass—it doubles as a sword!
🔨 Crafting – Another clever (and slightly malicious) part of the mod. Crafting and repairing items consumes stamina. Additionally, some items may receive a specific quality rating during crafting, permanently affecting their attributes.
