About this project
What does Blood Hardcore Survival add?
Blood Hardcore Survival
**A brutal hardcore survival overhaul for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge)**
This mod transforms vanilla Minecraft into an unforgiving survival experience with realistic body mechanics, deadly environmental disasters, deep underground exploration, new ores, diseases, and much more.
Features
Survival Stats System
- **Temperature**: Dynamically changes based on biome, altitude, weather, time of day, and water exposure. Get too cold? Hypothermia. Too hot? Heatstroke.
- **Thirst**: Stay hydrated or suffer dehydration. Collect rain with Rain Collectors, purify dirty water with the Water Purifier.
- **Bleeding**: Physical damage has a 2% chance to cause bleeding. Use Bandages to stop it.
- **Infection**: Zombies can infect you with Blood Plague (25% chance, reduced with Gas Mask). Cure it before it progresses!
8 Dynamic Natural Disasters
Disasters strike randomly and without warning:
- **Earthquake** - Ground shaking, block disruption, screen shake
- **Tornado** - Destructive funnel entity that tears through the landscape
- **Meteor Shower** - Fireballs rain from the sky
- **Acid Rain** - Corrosive precipitation that damages players and blocks
- **Blizzard** - Heavy snowfall with freezing cold damage
- **Heat Wave** - Extreme temperature spikes causing heatstroke
- **Flood** - Rising water levels and drowning risk
- **Volcanic Eruption** - Lava bombs and terrain destruction
Extended World Depth (Y = -384)
- The overworld extends down to Y=-384 (3x deeper than vanilla)
- Deeper mobs are stronger (scaled health, speed, and damage)
- Water pressure damages players in deep ocean areas
- Blocks become harder to mine the deeper you go
- Void damage triggers at Y=-384 instead of Y=-128
Cancer & Radiation
- **Uranium Ore** spawns deep underground and glows
- Standing near uranium causes progressive cancer (Stage I → II → III)
- Wear a full **Hazmat Suit** for protection
9 New Ores & 5 Armor/Tool Tiers
| Ore | Special |
|---|---|
| Silver | 3x damage reduction vs undead |
| Tin | Early-game metal tier |
