About this project
What does DeceasedCC add?
DeceasedCC
Automated base defense. Computer-scriptable turrets. Live camera feeds streamed onto floating holograms. Built specifically for the DeceasedCraft modpack.
Why this mod exists
The DeceasedCraft modpack is built around surviving urban zombies — but right now, base defense is entirely on you. You have to be physically present, gun in hand, every single night. DeceasedCC fixes that. It adds a full suite of automated defense and surveillance gear that lets you build a base that defends itself while you're out exploring, sleeping, or AFK — without trivializing the threat. Turrets need ammo. They can absolutely be overrun on bad terrain. And every late-game item is gated behind real progression.
Headline feature: Automated Turrets
Basic Turret — fully autonomous. Drop it down, give it a TACZ gun and ammo, and it shoots zombies on its own. No setup. No scripting. Perfect for early game when you just need a wall to stop being a constant problem.
Advanced Turret — same thing, but with a built-in computer interface. You can script it from ComputerCraft to do whatever you want:
- Only target certain entity types
- Hold fire until a button is pressed
- Open fire only when motion is detected nearby
- Toggle between manual aim and full auto
- Wire it to alarms, lights, doors, anything
Four upgrade slots per turret — fire rate, turn speed, range, and power. Basic upgrades give +25%, advanced give +50%, and they stack additively. A bare turret holds the line; a fully upgraded one becomes a real anchor. Real progression, real reward.
No new guns added. Turrets use the TACZ guns already in the pack. This isn't a gun mod.
Surveillance: Cameras + Holograms
Cameras — wall, floor, or ceiling-mounted. They have a real cone of view, can be aimed by hand or by computer, lock onto targets, and most importantly stream a live FBO-rendered video feed onto a paired hologram projector. Watch the front gate from your safe room. Cameras also act as motion sensors — perfect silent alarms.
Hologram Projectors — these float 2D images, 3D voxel grids, entity markers, or live camera feeds in the air above them. You can:
- Display a chunk-radar scan as a 3D map hovering over a table
- Watch live camera feeds inside your base
- Mark enemy positions in real time
- Stitch multiple terrain scans together for a full base blueprint
It looks like sci-fi. It plays like sci-fi. But every recipe gates behind real late-game tech, so it earns its place.
Intelligence: Radars + Trackers
Chunk Radar — scans a cube of terrain (up to 96×96×96 blocks) and saves the result to a named scan file. Replay any saved scan on a hologram projector and you've got an in-game 3D minimap. Find ore deposits. Scout a town before you raid it. Track how your base grows over time.
Entity Tracker — watches a zone for entities. Set one up around your base perimeter and it pings your computer the moment anything enters or leaves. Wake up the turrets. Flash the lights. Trigger an alarm. Persist across restarts.
Command Hub: Network Controller + Linking Tool
Advanced Network Controller — one wired computer, one controller, drives every camera, radar, tracker, projector, and advanced turret you've placed — all wirelessly. No more cabling every device.
Linking Tool — universal wireless pairing tool. Right-click the device, right-click the controller. Done. Has LINK and CHAIN modes for fast multi-device setups.
Example Disk — a craftable floppy that mounts in any CC: Tweaked disk drive. Ships with ~15 ready-to-go example scripts (camera feeds, base blueprints, security panels, status monitors) plus a menu browser. Drops the entry barrier from "you need to learn programming" to "you need to right-click a disk drive."
Quick start (5 minutes)
- Place an Advanced Computer + Advanced Network Controller next to each other
- Wire a Wired Modem between them
- Place a Hologram Projector, a Camera, and an Entity Tracker anywhere nearby — no wiring needed
- Right-click each with a Linking Tool, then right-click the controller
- On the computer:
peripheral.find("advanced_network_controller")and start scripting
Or skip step 5 and just craft an Example Disk to see the whole system working without writing any code.

Built specifically for the DeceasedCraft — Urban Zombie Apocalypse modpack. Designed to feel native to the pack — no new ores, no new machines, no new power systems, no new guns. Just defense, surveillance, and computer control, slotted into the tech that's already there.
