About this project

What does Team Creator add?

Team Utilities Mod extends Minecraft’s vanilla team system with powerful quality‑of‑life features for server operators and map makers.

The mod adds two new commands, /teamcreator and /randomteam, which make creating and managing teams fast, flexible, and intuitive. Both commands are designed for multiplayer servers and work seamlessly with Minecraft’s scoreboard system.

/teamcreator

This command allows you to manually create a new team and assign players to it in one step.
Players are added by name, and the team is automatically created with a unique name (Team1, Team2, etc.) and a predefined color.
An additional argument lets you enable or disable a team-based glow effect.

Example:

/teamcreator Steve Alex on

This creates a new team, assigns Steve and Alex to it, and enables the glow effect for that team.

/randomteam

This command creates a specified number of teams and randomly distributes the given players across them.
All existing generated teams are cleaned up beforehand to ensure a fresh setup. Team colors are chosen automatically, and players are evenly spread between teams.

Example:

/randomteam 2 Steve Alex Notch

This creates two teams and randomly assigns the players to them.

Team Glow System

A core feature of the mod is the team glow system.
Each team can have its own glow color, matching the team color, making players visually distinguishable during gameplay.
Glow settings are saved using world data and synchronized to all clients, ensuring consistent visuals for all players.

Features at a glance

  • Fast team creation with a single command
  • Random team generation for minigames and events
  • Team‑based colored glow effects
  • Automatic team naming and color assignment
  • Smart tab‑completion for player names
  • Fully compatible with Forge 1.20.1 (47.4.10)

This mod is ideal for minigames, PvP events, adventure maps, and organized multiplayer servers.
