Expanded Enchantments expands the vanilla enchanting system with a large collection of new enchantments and dangerous curses for weapons, armor, tools, shields, Elytra, bows, crossbows and special equipment.
The goal of this mod is to keep the familiar Minecraft feeling while adding more depth, progression and playstyle variety.
Whether you want lifesteal weapons, tankier armor, faster attacks, faster movement, auto-smelting mining tools, tree-felling axes, Elytra upgrades, dynamic light helmets, bonus XP, survival effects, bow upgrades or chaotic curses — this mod gives you many new ways to customize your gear.

🪄 Enchantments
🩸 Vampirismus I–V
Gives your weapon a chance to steal health from enemies. Each level increases the chance to drain health from the target and heal yourself.
⚔️ Attacker I–III
Increases attack speed, allowing weapons to recharge faster between attacks.
- Level I: +5% attack speed
- Level II: +10% attack speed
- Level III: +15% attack speed
⚔️ Swift Strike I–III
Increases attack speed, allowing weapons to recharge faster between attacks.
- Level I: +5% attack speed
- Level II: +10% attack speed
- Level III: +15% attack speed
🏃 Runner I–III
Increases movement speed when applied to boots.
- Level I: +5% movement speed
- Level II: +10% movement speed
- Level III: +15% movement speed
👟 Agility I–III
Increases movement speed when applied to boots.
- Level I: +5% movement speed
- Level II: +10% movement speed
- Level III: +15% movement speed
🏹 Arrow Storm I–III
A bow and crossbow enchantment that has a chance to fire additional projectiles.
- Level I: 10% chance, +1 projectile
- Level II: 15% chance, +2 projectiles
- Level III: 25% chance, +3 projectiles
Extra projectiles are temporary and are designed to avoid arrow duplication issues.
🌙 Night Hunter I–III
Increases damage against monsters during the night.
- Level I: +10% night damage
- Level II: +20% night damage
- Level III: +30% night damage
👼 Guardian Angel I
Gives the player a chance to survive otherwise fatal damage.
- 20% chance to prevent death
- Sets the player to low health instead of dying
- Grants temporary defensive effects
- Includes a cooldown for balance
❤️ Tanker I–IV
Adds extra maximum health when applied to armor. The bonus hearts are visible in the health bar.
🪨 Stone Skin I–III
Adds additional defensive protection to armor, helping reduce incoming damage.
🛡️ Stronger I–V
A shield enchantment that can knock back attackers when blocking axe attacks.
💥 Heavy Impact I–III
A heavy weapon enchantment for axes and maces. Attacks have a chance to knock enemies back and slow them for a short time.

📚 Reaper I–III
Gives weapon attacks a chance to reward bonus experience when killing monsters.
- Level I: 15% chance

When your health drops low, Last Stand grants temporary Resistance to help you survive dangerous moments.
Includes cooldown balancing so the effect cannot trigger constantly.

Increases movement speed while jumping when applied to boots.
🦘 Jumper I–II
Increases jump height when applied to boots.
🧲 Magnetic I–III
Pulls nearby items and experience orbs toward the player.

⛏️ Veinminer I
Mine entire ore veins by breaking just one ore block.
- Works together with Fortune

🔥 Autosmelt
Automatically smelts certain mining drops while preserving normal drop behavior.
Designed to work with Fortune and other mining-related mechanics.

- Ancient Debris → Netherite Scrap
🌲 Forrester I
Fell entire natural trees with one axe.
- Designed to cut down real trees, not player-made wooden structures
- Checks for nearby leaves to identify natural trees
- Player-placed logs are tracked and excluded
🧠 Wisdom I–V
Increases the amount of experience gained from collected XP orbs. Can only be applied to helmets.
🪽 Winging
Automatically activates your Elytra after falling a configurable distance.
🛡️ Strong Wings I–III
Adds protection-like defensive power to Elytra.
🌍 Deeply Rooted I–III
Reduces knockback taken by the player when applied to boots.
⚡ Shocker I–III
A mace enchantment that can shock nearby entities, heavily slowing them for a short time and creating electric visual effects.
☠️ Poisoning I–II
A spear enchantment that gives attacks a chance to poison the target.
💡 Glowing I
Turns the player into a moving light source when applied to a helmet.
- Lights up the area around you like a torch
- Does not prevent monster spawns
- Does not despawn or remove existing monsters
💀 Curses
🛡️ Curse of Permeability
A shield curse that causes every fourth blocked hit to pass through your shield.
👹 Curse of the Horde
Monsters detect and focus you from a much larger range.
Great for tank builds — but also much more dangerous if you are not prepared.
🔁 Curse of Respawn I–III
When killing a monster, there is a chance that the monster respawns nearby.
- Level I: 25% chance to respawn 1 monster
- Level II: 30% chance to respawn 2 monsters
- Level III: 40% chance to respawn 3–5 monsters
Excluded mobs: Warden, Wither and Ender Dragon.
Named mobs: disabled by default, configurable in the server config.
Mobs spawned by this curse cannot trigger another Respawn Curse chain.
😱 Curse of Scream
Randomly plays scary scream and door-lock sounds while equipped. Custom sounds can be added through the mod assets.
🌊 Curse of Sinking
A boot curse that makes it extremely difficult to surface while underwater.
🏹 Curse of Burning Arrow
A bow and crossbow curse that makes burning arrows ignite wood when they hit it.
Use with caution near forests, wooden buildings or storage areas.
🍖 Curse of Exhaustion
A curse that makes movement and sprinting more dangerous by applying exhaustion-related effects while equipped.

Expanded Enchantments includes configuration options for both players and server owners.

Server owners can enable or disable individual enchantments and curses. By default, all enchantments and curses are enabled.

🔨 Anvil Config
Expanded Enchantments can remove the vanilla “Too Expensive” anvil limit.
- Default maximum level cost: 30
- Multiplayer: uses the server config
- Singleplayer: uses the local/integrated world config
This makes advanced gear progression much smoother while still keeping it configurable.
