About this project
What does GrowAnyway add?
Grow Anyway
===========
Grow Anyway is a NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that makes farming and tree growth much more forgiving in modded worlds.
It pushes bonemeal much harder than vanilla, speeds up passive plant growth, increases harvest-related drops, and helps trees, huge mushrooms, and azaleas grow even when nearby cables, pipes, or machines would normally block feature placement.
What it does
============
Forces bonemeal growth more aggressively on many vanilla and modded plants.
Promotes compatible age and sapling stage properties even when a mod does not hook into vanilla bonemeal well.
Accelerates natural growth for many CropGrowEvent-based plants.
Boosts drops from plants, leaves, and logs.
Relaxes tree-like feature space checks so nearby non-vanilla infrastructure blocks stop interfering.
Why use it
==========
Vanilla growth rules are strict. In modpacks, that often means farms stall, saplings refuse to grow, or decorative and technical blocks accidentally block trees and mushrooms.
Grow Anyway keeps the gameplay readable and configurable while removing a lot of that friction.
Server-side friendly
====================
Grow Anyway is designed to work well as a dedicated-server-side mod.
The gameplay logic runs on the server.
Clients can join without installing the mod.
No custom networking is required for the current feature set.
Configuration
=============
The server config lets you tune each major feature, including:
forced bonemeal growth
bonemeal growth passes
passive growth acceleration
bonus drop multiplier
relaxed feature space checks
obstacle scan radius and height
Short summary
=============
Aggressive bonemeal, faster crop growth, better harvests, and tree growth that stops getting blocked by nearby modded infrastructure.
