About this project
What does Dispersion add?
Dispersion is a dark RPG overhaul that drags Minecraft into a world of madness, sacrifice, and tactical choice. No two heroes are the same — every attribute point, every talent, and every cursed piece of gear tells a story of risk versus reward. The land itself shifts with time, and only those who master their class will endure.
Why Download Dispersion? Dispersion is built for players who want their choices to matter. It's not a simple stat-stick mod — it's a system of interlocking trade-offs. If you enjoy deep character building, theorycrafting unique builds, and overcoming brutal mechanics through smart decisions rather than mindless grinding, this mod is for you. Every death teaches a lesson, every victory is earned. Whether you're looking for a fresh challenge in singleplayer or a foundation for a hardcore RPG server, Dispersion delivers an experience Minecraft has never seen before.
What makes Dispersion unique? Everything is a trade-off. Power is earned through difficult decisions, not just grinding. Will you equip a legendary item that amplifies your damage but cripples your endurance? Will you take a talent that heals you on kills or one that makes you immune to debuffs? The world does not forgive, and neither does your build.
⚔️ 14 UNIQUE CLASSES Each class comes with its own passive and active ability, plus a talent tree that branches at levels 30, 40, 50, and 60. No two classes play the same — some rely on brute force, others on control, vampirism, or pure damage.
📊 DEEP ATTRIBUTE SYSTEM You start with 40 attribute points to distribute across Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Endurance. Every point matters: • Strength increases melee damage and max health. • Agility boosts movement speed and critical strike damage. • Intelligence grants magic resistance and bonus experience from all sources. • Endurance expands your stamina pool and accelerates stamina regeneration. Your choices define your survival.
Critical Information: You can freely reallocate your attribute points only until level 10. After that, you must find a special trader who sells the ability to reset them. Plan your build carefully, or be prepared to hunt for this rare merchant.
💎 SOUL SCEPTERS Each class can obtain a unique Soul Scepter — a one-time-use artifact that permanently changes how your class works. Some Scepters let you stack Strength on kills, others enable you to disable enemy passives, leech health, or even choose between defensive and offensive paths. Once activated, a Scepter's effect is bound to your class until you reset it with a special item.
🔮 RARITY & CURSES Every crafted piece of armor, weapon, or tool receives a random rarity — from Common to Mythical. Rarer items grant bigger attribute bonuses and special effects like increased weapon damage or armor durability. Epic and Legendary items can become Cursed: all bonuses are multiplied by 1.5, but a massive penalty is applied to a random attribute. Mythical items cannot be cursed. This system turns crafting into a hunt for perfectly rolled gear, where the most powerful items may also break your build.
🛡️ RESISTANCE AGAINST REFLECTED DAMAGE Negative effect resistance (e.g., Paladin's Faith passive, Slasher's Battle Trance immunity) now also reduces incoming reflected and counter-attack damage. A Paladin with 40% resistance will only receive 60% of the damage Fury would normally reflect. At 100% resistance, reflected damage is completely ignored. This makes tank and anti-debuff builds much more resilient against certain threats.
🔥 DAMAGE TYPES MATTER Physical, Magical, and Pure damage each follow distinct rules: • Physical damage is reduced by standard armor. • Magical damage ignores regular armor but is mitigated by gold armor, the Anti-Magic enchantment, and Intelligence. • Pure damage cannot be reduced by any means — it always hits for full value. Your choice of gear and attributes must account for all three.
How do I remove curses?
You cannot. Once an item is cursed, the curse is permanent. The only way to get rid of a cursed item is to recraft it entirely.
How do I start?
Open the class selection GUI and distribute your 40 attribute points.
Choose a class that fits your playstyle.
Read the built-in tutorial book (given on first spawn).
Kill mobs, mine, and craft to level up.
At level 30, unlock your first talents and begin shaping your build.
Can I change my class later?
Yes, but it requires a rare "Tome of Relearning" item, which can be found in dungeon chests or bought from a special trader. This also resets any active Soul Scepter effects.
What are Soul Scepters?
Soul Scepters are powerful, one-time-use artifacts unique to each class. Once activated, they permanently alter your class mechanics — for example, stacking Strength on kills or disabling enemy passives. Their effects are bound to your class until you reset it with a Tome of Relearning.
Does this mod require any additional libraries?
No. Dispersion works completely standalone. No extra dependencies are needed.
Is this mod compatible with servers?
Yes, Dispersion is fully compatible with dedicated servers. All mechanics work server-side.
