What does [TACZ] Simple Tactical Sprint add?

[TACZ] Simple Tactical Sprint

What it does

Double-tap your sprint key and your character breaks into a proper tactical sprint: faster, with a stamina cost.

Normal sprinting is untouched.

Features

Double-tap to activate Tap your sprint key twice quickly. No extra keybind to set up.

Real speed boost ×1.5 movement speed by default, up to ×3. Applied server-side, so it's consistent for everyone.

Stamina system Tactical sprinting drains a stamina bar. Run it dry and you drop back to normal sprinting. Stamina comes back after a short delay once you slow down.

Stamina HUD A small bar next to your health shows what's left: gold while you're in tactical sprint, orange while it refills.

Tactical sprint animation (new!) The TAC SPRINT animations are now built into the mod and play only while you're tactical sprinting.

Dust trail Cloud particles kick up behind you while you're actually moving.

No hunger (optional, on by default) Keeps you fed at all times, so the sprint is about stamina and not about eating. Turn it off if you want vanilla hunger back.

Hidden food bar (optional, on by default) Hides the vanilla food bar, it's useless while hunger is disabled anyway.

Configuration

Everything lives in config/sprinttactiquetacz-common.toml, under the [sprint] section:

Good to know

  • You need more than 5 stamina for the double-tap to trigger.
  • Aiming or reloading drops you out of tactical sprint, just like TACZ does with normal sprinting
