About this project
What does FarmerFix add?
FarmerFix fixes broken villager AI, forcing them to natively harvest and replant modded crops from Farmer's Delight and the "Let's Do" series (Farm & Charm / Herbal Brews) without their inventories locking up.
What it Does:
Automatic Storage Dumping: Farmers automatically walk to any nearby container (chests, barrels, drawers) and dump all harvested food. They keep their bonemeal and seeds to continue farming.
Chest Restocking: If they need seeds, they will pull them out of your storage containers to replant empty fields.
Ground Vacuum: Automatically vacuums up any loose item on the ground to prevent despawning and world lag.
Soil Upkeep: Dynamically detects and tills stray dirt or grass blocks back into farmland using a tool that upgrades visually with their villager level (Wood to Diamond).
Forced Purge Timer: Triggers a strict inventory check every 2 minutes. If their pockets are full of food, they immediately drop what they're doing and run to the nearest chest.
Farming XP: Villagers earn trade experience naturally by harvesting, planting, and tilling.
Operating Limits & Ranges:
Harvesting & Planting Range: Looks for crops in a 31x31 block area ($15$ blocks in any horizontal direction from the villager) and up to $4$ blocks vertically.
Soil Tilling Range: Scans an 17x17 block area ($8$ blocks horizontally) and up to $2$ blocks vertically.
Chest Interaction Range: Detects and pathfinds to storage containers within a 31x31 block area ($15$ blocks horizontally, $4$ blocks vertically).
Ground Item Pickup: Magnetizes and vacuums items within a tight 7x7 block radius ($3$ blocks around the villager).
Tick Timers: Crops are checked for harvesting every 0.5 seconds (10 ticks). Ambient checks, tilling, and chest tracking occur every 2 seconds (40 ticks). Deep inventory purges happen every 2 minutes (2400 ticks).
