About this project

What does Better Minecats add?

A mod that improves minecarts by adding new rails, minecart coupling and minecart chunkloading!

Features:

Chunk loading

Makes minecarts load chunks to prevent them from being unloaded and stop.

Minecart coupling

lets you couple minecarts together to make minecart trains.

How to couple minecarts:

  1. Shift rightclick the minecart to connect to another minecart.
  2. Shift rightclick the minecart to connect the first minecart to.

Minecart furnace control

lets you control minecarts with furnaces by coupling a minecart to a minecart with furnace and controlling it with W, S and Space.

Calibrated detector rail

outputs redstone if the minecart passing it matches the redstone level inputted.

Power levels can be configured in the mods configuration file or config screen.

Default power levels:

  • 15 Minecart
  • 14 Minecart with Chest
  • 13 Minecart with Hopper
  • 12 Minecart with Furnace
  • 11 TNT Minecart
  • 10 Minecart with Command Block

Chunk loader rail

loads chunks in a 3x3 area around the rail for an amount of time depending on the redstone input (1 sec per power level).
