CaTrading

Adds an indestructible Trader Block designed for structure placement. Trades are fully configurable via a JSON config file, and items are transferred through Create's mechanical systems — no GUI, pure automation.

About this project

What does CaTrading add?

CA Trading is a small utility mod built specifically for the Create Archipelago modpack.

It adds a single block — the Trader Block — intended to be placed inside structures as a progression gate. The block must be activated before it starts offering trades, and once active it cycles through configurable deals with expiration timers and cooldowns between trades.

Trades are defined in a simple JSON config file (config/catrading/trades.json), making it easy to tune progression without touching any code. A /catrading reload command lets you update trades on a live server without restarting.

Input items are fed into the block and output items are extracted entirely through Create's mechanical arms and conveyor belts — encouraging players to build dedicated automation setups around each trader.

Features:

  • Indestructible Trader Block for structure placement
  • Configurable trades via JSON (item, quantity, duration, cooldown)
  • Full Create compatibility
  • Trade expiration and renewal cycle
  • /catrading reload command for live config updates

This mod is built for Create Archipelago and is not designed as a general-purpose mod.
