About this project

What does Arcane Forge Expand add?

Arcane Forge — Enchantment Guide

Arcane Forge adds a whole new tier of enchanting on top of vanilla Minecraft. Instead of an enchanting table, you use the Arcane Forge block to push your gear far beyond the usual limits — and 18 brand-new enchantments to go with it, from lightning-summoning bows to a bag with unlimited storage.

How enchanting works here

Normally, Minecraft enchantments cap out around level 5. At the Arcane Forge, that cap is gone. You can enchant items up to level 15 on the Forge alone, and if you place an active Arcane Pedestal nearby, that cap rises all the way to level 255. Many of the enchantments below scale directly with their level — more lightning bolts, bigger blast radius, more bonus loot — so climbing higher on the Forge translates directly into dramatically stronger effects. The catch: higher levels cost proportionally more resources and XP, so reaching the top is a real investment.

Combat Enchantments

Apocalyptic JudgmentBow, Crossbow
Every arrow that lands calls down a strike of lightning for each enchantment level, plus a shockwave explosion around the target that damages nearby enemies without destroying any terrain. The bow or crossbow itself never loses durability while this enchantment is active — you can fire endlessly.

Arcane CataclysmMace
Turns the Mace into a one-hit crowd-control weapon. Every strike launches all nearby enemies into the air, deals a heavy burst of bonus damage on top of your normal hit, and detonates a small, terrain-safe explosion at the point of impact. Both the knockback radius and the bonus damage grow with the enchantment's level.

Chain ThunderTrident
Turns your Trident into a lightning rod. Hitting an enemy strikes them with lightning and then arcs additional bolts out to other nearby enemies, hitting several targets from a single throw. The number of enemies struck and the range of the chain both increase with level.

Arcane RepulseShield
An active counter-attack enchantment. While you're actively blocking with your shield, any hit you take knocks every nearby enemy back, reflects a portion of the blocked damage straight back at your attacker, and reduces how much damage gets through to you in the first place. All three effects get stronger at higher levels.

Ranged & Throwing

Ethereal LaunchTrident
Rewards momentum. Throw your Trident while sprinting, jumping, or otherwise moving fast, and the enchantment adds a massive burst of extra speed to the throw based on how fast you were moving and the enchantment's level — the faster you're running when you throw, the harder your Trident flies.

Ethereal HookFishing Rod
Every catch gets a chance to reel in more than just fish. Alongside your normal catch, you have a chance to also pull up rare treasure — Netherite Ingots, Diamonds, Emeralds, Ender Pearls, Blaze Rods, or Lapis Lazuli. Higher levels give you more chances per catch, turning fishing into genuine treasure hunting.

Mining & Gathering

Arcane SmeltingPickaxe
Skips the furnace entirely. Mine raw iron, gold, or copper ore and it comes out of the block already smelted into finished ingots. It plays perfectly well with Fortune (multiplies the ingots you get) and even Silk Touch — Arcane Smelting simply takes priority and smelts whatever Silk Touch would have dropped.

Soul DelvePickaxe, Shovel, and other mining tools
Makes every block you break more rewarding. Mining grants bonus experience orbs on top of the normal drop, and gives you a chance to duplicate one of that block's drops outright — both the XP bonus and the duplication chance scale with the enchantment's level.

Soul HarvestHoe
A two-in-one farming and combat enchantment. On the farming side: breaking one fully-grown crop harvests an entire surrounding field at once, instantly replants everything, and sorts the results for you (crops to your inventory, seeds to a chest you've linked with the Binding Wand) — and it stacks with Fortune for huge yields. The harvest radius grows with level. On the combat side: hitting a mob with the Hoe has a chance to instantly reap a burst of bonus experience from it.

Armor & Survival

Void WingsChestplate (works best with an Elytra)
Completely removes fall damage while worn. If the chestplate is an actual Elytra and you're gliding, you also get a speed boost that scales with level, and at the highest levels your Elytra's durability stops depleting entirely while you fly.

Ethereal WalkLeggings and Boots (both pieces required)
Lets you sprint straight off a ledge and keep running — on air. While sprinting and falling, it conjures a brief magical platform under your feet so you don't drop, consuming a little of your banked XP and a touch of armor durability each time it triggers. It won't activate while swimming, and does nothing in Creative mode.

Miner's SightHelmet
Turns your helmet into an ore detector. Toggle it on and nearby ores glow in their own signature color right through solid walls — white for iron, yellow for gold, aqua for diamond, dark blue for lapis, red for redstone, black for netherite, and so on. Open its settings menu with the G key while wearing the helmet to switch it on/off or filter for a specific ore. Detection range grows with level, and it steadily drains a small amount of XP while switched on — running out of XP turns it off automatically.

Void ProtectionTotem of Undying
A massively upgraded Totem. Instead of vanilla's single save, this Totem holds three separate lives. Each time it saves you, it fully restores your health with strong Regeneration, Resistance, Fire Resistance, and brief Invisibility — and blasts every nearby enemy away from you in a shockwave. Only after all three charges are spent does the Totem finally break.

Arcane LoyaltyAny tool, weapon, or piece of armor
Your safety net against permanent loss. If you die while carrying or wearing an item enchanted with this, it will not drop with the rest of your inventory on death — it's safely returned to you the moment you respawn instead.

Utility & Storage

Dimensional BindBundle
Transforms an ordinary Bundle into the Dimensional Bag: a full 54-slot container where every single slot can hold up to a billion items instead of the usual stack limit. For all practical purposes, unlimited portable storage that opens as its own inventory screen.

Arcane MagnetBundle (requires Dimensional Bind)
Works alongside Dimensional Bind to auto-collect everything for you. Level 1 sends block drops straight into your Dimensional Bag; level 2 adds mob loot; level 3 also vacuums up any loose items lying on the ground within 8 blocks of you. It can be switched on or off from the bag's own menu at any time.

Arcane MendingAny tool, weapon, or piece of armor
A passive, always-on repair system. As long as the item is somewhere in your inventory and you have banked experience points, it slowly repairs itself using that stored XP — no need to stand at a grindstone or an anvil. Higher levels repair more durability per point of XP spent.

Night VisionHelmet
See clearly in complete darkness, permanently, for as long as the helmet is worn — no potions, no beacons, no fumbling around caves or exploring at night ever again. It's one of the priciest enchantments in the mod to reach on the Arcane Forge, right alongside Apocalyptic Judgment and Void Protection.

Food

Eternal FeastAny food item
You don't even need to eat it — just having a food item enchanted with Eternal Feast anywhere in your inventory keeps your hunger bar topped up automatically. If that food would normally grant an effect when eaten (like a Golden Apple's Regeneration and Absorption, or an Enchanted Golden Apple's full buff set), you get that too, no bite required. On top of that, roughly every 30 seconds it rolls a magical "feast roulette" for an extra random buff — mostly strong positives (Regeneration, Speed, Strength, Jump Boost, Resistance, and more, occasionally an all-in-one jackpot that fully heals you). At low levels there's also a real chance of a bad roll — but the higher you push this enchantment on the Arcane Forge, the safer the roulette gets, until it becomes completely risk-free at the enchantment's true maximum level (255, reachable only with an active Arcane Pedestal).
