About this project

What does Durability Reworked add?

You ever just strip mine with your maxed out netherite pickaxe and get jumpscared by the tool breaking? Me neither, but I made a mod to solve this problem! Now when any equipment item breaks, it will remain at 1 durability and become unusable. This means it can't be used to break blocks or hurt creatures. All items will lose right click functionality and armor will not provide protection or potion effects. Potion effects? Yeah the turtle shell is covered by this too. Items can be repaired to gain back all functionality. There's also a new enchantment called Fortification! It can stack up to level 5 and each level increases the durability of items by 1.5x the base. I took the liberty of not removing mending entirely. Instead, villagers can no longer sell it. Mending also has a bonus effect of doubling the durability of items. Lastly, there is a configurable global durability multiplier.

TLDR: Broken tool = fixable tool
