A Minecraft Palladium addon Mod that adapts the infamous Webtoon, "UnOrdinary", into Minecraft.
Quick answer
Which UnOrigin release should I use?
UnOrigin un_origin-1.5.0.jar targets 1.20.1 with Forge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 5 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is UnOrigin required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does UnOrigin un_origin-1.5.0.jar need?
un_origin-1.5.0.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install GeckoLib, Palladium 🐿️, KubeJS, Architectury API and 1 more first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 5 come through another mod in the chain.
5 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

MOST OF THIS INFORMATION IS OUTDATED ATM
A lot of it has been revised / improved upon past the version this information was constructed upon (V1.0), we are currently in V1.4, a lot of changes have been made.
Barrier-block reflection damage. Unique to Barrier users. Should the barrier user activate their shield & another player (or entity) attacks the shield, it should deal recoil damage towards the attacker.

Custom HUDs/GUIs (view media for images):
Aura Bar (top left corner)
Custom Ability Menu (overlay's Palladium's default ability menu)
The Aura bar, as you might've guessed, serves as your UnOrdinary-equivalent of an Energy bar, or maybe Mana bar, whichever suits your taste. The value of your Aura goes up as you progress your Power level, another concept we'll cover in a moment.
Custom Ability Menu holds several aspects of the game. Which includes your info tab (Powerlevel, powername, pentagon chart, power description, etc.), your style tab (custom aura color, customized HUD/GUI size, customized eye placement, etc.), and your stats tab (stat points, purchasable moves, etc.)
Fate (RNG). The (canon) mechanic where your power is essentially determined by fate (RNG) when you join the game, as well as your starting PowerLevel (max-borne is 5.0). You are, for now, guaranteed an UnOrigin power no matter what when you join. Some aspects are expected to undergo change in the future.
PowerLevels. So far, they only scale your minecraft base stats, such as speed, jump boost, defense, health, damage, etc. Each power has their respective field of stat scaling. Barrier will obviously have a higher scale of defense points compared to Regeneration, in contrast Regeneration will have more HP scaling compared to Barrier. Leveling/gaining Mastery (the giant yellow bar in your ability menu) will increase your PL by +0.1 everytime the bar is completed, maxing out at 10.0. Some powers may serve as an exception to the minecraft-base stat scaling, an example being Explosion, where it's damage output is also scaled. This occured because of my testing, sorry for the imbalance :) .
Mob Powers. Grants mobs copy-able powers. This was really only added to assist single-player Aura Manipulation players and so far has no other function. Any humanoid-like entity can carry a power tag, such as: Villagers, Zombies (all variations), Skeletons (all variations), Piglins (all variations), Pillagers (all variations), Witches, and Endermen.
Aura Manipulation. This power is drained by the triangular method; 1 power copied is 3 drain/s, 2 powers copied is 6 drain/s, 3 is 10 drain/s, 4 is 15 drain/s, so on and so forth. There is no set cap on how many powers can be copied, that just depends on the Aura value of what the AM player can handle. It also allows the player to copy powers within a 20 block radius. Holding the copy wheel will show the available powers in the area, including Mob Powers. Aura Manipulation also has a deeper mechanic called "Combination" as of V1.2, meaning two compatible powers can be combined into one under the correct conditions, forming a deadlier power overall.
Some videos demonstrating both Aura Manipulation (V1.0) (and by extension, a couple other features), as well as the Explosion power:
