About this project
What does Vanilla Horizons add?
Vanilla Horizons
A small but immersive addition to the Overworld — new structures to discover, loot, and explore.
Vanilla Horizons keeps the vanilla Minecraft feel while adding fresh locations to find on your adventures. No new dimensions, no complicated systems — just hand-crafted structures hidden across your world, waiting to be found.
🚧 Beta status
This mod is currently in beta with 3 structures added so far. More structures, loot variety, and biome coverage are planned for future updates.
We're also looking into Fabric support down the line — for now, the mod is built for NeoForge.
🌍 Where to find them
Structures generate naturally across select Overworld biomes (currently focused on forest and taiga biomes), except Mushroom Fields. Use /locate structure to track one down, or just go exploring — finding them yourself is half the fun.
⚙️ Compatibility
- Mod Loader: NeoForge (Fabric support possibly in the future)
- Minecraft Version: 1.21.x
- Side: Works in singleplayer and multiplayer
- Datapack-driven — no custom dimensions, no gameplay-breaking changes, fully compatible with most other structure/worldgen mods
📋 Roadmap
- More structures across more biomes
- Expanded and rarer loot tiers
- Possible Fabric port
- Community feedback welcome — let us know what you'd like to see next!
